All that does is push people to go elsewhere and spend their money in another city...helping them. Like me, now I am going to Tampa to help their economy since DeLand-ites are tight wads!

I've been to the fire works in Deland, where is it you spend your money and on what???? Deltona where money is no object and priorities of needed services as opposed to uunnecessary ones is having fireworks, so why the trip to Tampa? Spend your money in Deltona how that brings money here and justifies the cost to taxpayers is way beyond reason or sense. I'll tell anyone in city government who loses their job fireworks were necessary.
