Prayer.... America's Only Hope

What's with these yard signs showing up around the area. Sounds more like despair than hope! Pray if you think that will help, but what America really needs is less anger and hatred, more understanding, cooperation and service to others. The Boy Scouts had it right when I learned the Scout Laws 50 years ago - A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courtesy, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.(Hey Scouts, did I forget any?) Still some good values there that, if practiced, would really represent Hope for America!

All the qualities you mention are all honorable and good. You sound like a decent, patriotic citizen and pro-family etc. But the founding fathers of this nation knew that we need Divine help to make this nation great and an acknowlegement that God is the true governor of the affairs of people.

Individually speaking, without the help of the Divine, mankind is lost. The values that we prize cannot be maintained with totally pure motives without a relationship with God - generally occurring through prayer and a personal trust in Jesus.

We need to pray especially for our kids in the schools. A lot of the awful news of shootings, bus beatings etc didn't happen before 1962 - the approximate year of the Supreme court decision you refer to.- Right on!!
