I realize this is a blog, but good lord could you use the English language appropriately? Some examples:

1) Some races are more "controversial" than others? Perhaps you mean more "competitve".
2) "Casted" his vote? Should be "cast" his vote.
3)"One getting lots of attention, the run for Monroe County Sheriff." Sorry, this is not a sentence.
4)"He says although his nerves are going." Ditto.
5)Dan Greene also "casted" his vote.
6) Some inspectors think there will be a light turnout, others think there will be a large turnout. Thanks for the insight.

Now more than ever we NEED a Sheriff with a real law enforcement background. Someone who understands the needs of the community as well as the needs of those who are charged with protecting our county.
You state that "NOW more than ever we need a sheriff with real law enforcement background...." FYI--Greene did serve as UNDERSHERIFF for OFLYnn, is that not a real experience background? Why all of a sudden do we need this "highly qualified individual that hasn't done crap for this community? To protect those involved (or suspected in involvement) with ROBUTRAD or some other county controlled scam? You must be scared of change, that is desperately needed.

I think we need some change just for the simple fact that no one is watching 'cuz they're all on the same team! Do you know the Maggie Brooks husband asked Supervisor Auberger to hire Nick Joseph? And of course he did but then denied it. All these people are also tied up in that ROBUtrad fiasco too. Just sit back and watch. Not sure how Greene can even get close to O'Flynn, but I for one, would be happy to see it. I voted for Greene.

"He says although his nerves are going. He's confident with they way his team ran their campaign."

8th Grade English, join the two sentences with a comma, because one's a fragment, and add a conjunction.

The editor is poor.

O'Flynn will most likely win. And that is unfortunate. Those who worked with Green in the MCSO, know that he would be an honorable and caring Sheriff unswayed by Maggie and the typical goings on. What will be interesting is to see how long it takes for the Under and others to retire before the final dots are connected in the various scandals. You see, regardless of who wins the election, certain people know certain things and eventually the truth will come out. Actually, the best thing for O'Flynn, would be to lose.

Scared? Hardly! More like a combination of amused and yet at the same time saddened by just how desperate you left wingnuts have become! You seem to be able to do nothing more than fabricate lies and twist truths in a pitiful attempt to place blame on the people you dislike when in fact it was these very same people who uncovered the Robutrad scandal in the first place.

FACT: Maggie Brooks was informed of the Robutrad situation and immediately contacted law enforcement. Her office has cooperated completely with the authorities in every step of the investigation. State authorities and even DA Mike Green have stated as such.

FACT: The Monroe County Sheriffs office was never ever implicated of any wrongdoing in way shape or form in the Robrutard incident. The initiated an investigation and brought in outside agencies to ensure a thorough and unbiased investigation.

FACT: Dan Greene MISLED the public claiming that he had the endorement of road patrol officers when in fact only one of the several different unions that represent law enforcement gave him an endorsement, and that came from the union that represents jail security... NOT ROAD PATROL OFFICERS!

FACT: In a last minute act of DESPERATION, Dan Greene attempted to smear Patrick O'Flynn by going to the media complaining (whining) that O'Flynn was improperly using his county issued vehicle while putting up campaign lawn signs. As the former Undersheriff, Mr. Greene is fully aware that Patrick O'Flynn is REQUIRED to have a county issued emergency vehicle at all times unless he is on vacation. As Sheriff, O'Flynn is ON-CALL 24X7 and is expected to respond on a moments notice for certain types of emergency situations. Thus he is required to have the emergency vehicle which is equipped with radios, lights, sirens, and other specialized equipment.

So which is it? Is Dan Green really that ignorant that even after having been Undersheriff that he truly did not know this? Or is Dan Greene so unethical and morally bankrupt that he would stoop so low as to use the media to smear his opponent?

DemoncRats.... you just CAN'T trust them!

While I will not necessarily agree with your viewpoint I do understand the point you are making with this statement. If you truly believe what you say, lets see just how much integrity you truly have.

Based upon your own logic, we shouldn't have one party in charge of everything. Next November, the entire House of Representatives, two thirds of the Senate, and a large number of gubenetorial seats are up for reelection. Currently, the Democrats have control of all 3 branches of Government. Now, based on your own statement, that means that everyone should vote Republican next November in an effort to turn control of at least one branch of government to the Republicans so that the Democrats don't control everything.

So.. do you have the integrity to back up what you said? Will you commit to voting Republican next year? Or was this just a meaningless statement blurted out becuase you had no substantial basis for your opinion?

Hey Fubo, why when the Robutrad scandle first was uncovered and Brooks was made aware, oops she already knew about it for years, did she withhold the info from the public until after last years elections? Why was the current undersheriff supervising the investigation of Robutrad? Oh yeah to protect his neighbor Brooks. You have no clue, obviously you have no real knowledge of what has been going on.

Hey FUBO,

You may not be scared, but you sure have your facts wrong! It's not your fault, it's just that you are repeating what you've been told by those who are doing the covering up. That, or you're just ignorant.

If and when the electorate of Monroe County ever get their collective act together, the public referendum of "Metro-Police" will rear its ugly head. Put the Sheriff back where he belongs according to the NYS constitution of serving Civil Process and Jail Administration. Put the Road Patrol Deputies, the Town and RPD Police Department street cops under ONE Metro Department. Bounce all the town police Chief's into retirement or reduced in rank to Administrators. Let the Police unions merge into bargain as one entity, all equal. Centralize all records, purchasing, equal distribution of overtime, investigators, patrol, specializ ed units (scuba, bomb squad, hostage negotiators etc) then and only then will you see any possible savings of tax dollars and stop this silly the 'Sheriff did this or didnt do that stuff" The upfront cost of Metro Police will be extensive but the gains will out weight the means over the years. Just a thought.

Yes, she and her deputy executive (who was later implicated and arrested) sat in on criminal investigation interviews. How often has that happened in law enforcement history.
