We moved to Pomona in 1955. I remember when 2nd was a street and you could park right in front of the stores. Then, they built the mall and that very first Christmas Parade in the evening on the Down town mall. It helped to keep the small town feeling there. I cannot imagine having the parade on Holt Ave. I am glad that the parade was moved back to where it belongs. Thanks for bringing a little bit of Pomona to those of us who cannot be there. It must have been a blast. |
