Its about time. I drive over the speed limit half the time around 70 and cars whiz by me as if I were stationary. Californians drive far to fast and have far too many violent collusions.

They, the CHP, can really do some good on the 210 if they continue West. 75-80 appear to be the minimum for drivers on that route along with very liberal doses of lane changing. Bet they could balance the state budget with fines if they were able to sustain that kind of enforcement for a couple of months all over the state.

So you're speeding, and you are complaining about the speeders? That's okay, I understand. I hate people that are rude to me when I am trying to be rude to them.

I'm more afraid of the idiots who don't even pay attention while on their phone or with busy kids in the back changing lanes at 60mph without a blinker.

But it's easier for the CHP to hide with a radar gun.

If this was really about safety, then I'd say fine. But the truth is...its about filling the coffers of the state and keeping the CHP staffed. If it was truly about safety, they'd hand out warnings and have the offenders attend traffic school FREE OF CHARGE or at a nominal fee, and then if there are subsequent offenses in a certain time period, the CHP would ticket and fine. But its a money making proposition for the state, not a safety issue. Sad but true.

Or is it a way to get your attention and others who seem to think the laws we have are for everyone else! Anything over 65 you are subject to a ticket.
So if you think it's about money, slow down!

Teejay,

You're a wise man. The CHP is just another version of Red Light cameras in the design to make money. They do an excellent job of slowing the traffic flow so that it takes 90 minutes to travel from Fontana to Yucaipa, at an accident they hamper the clean-up process so that the traffic backs-up ten freakin' miles, and they speed and never use there turn signals everytime I've seen them. I guess they have just so much more experience driving than I do that they feel a sense of entitlement. Then you have to listen to the pussy's on this blog that want the CHP to patrol their freeways to slow the traffic over there. Please.
