New effort to rename North Freeway

Great. Every MLK named street I know of breeds crime.

It will be another windows up, doors locked, make sure u have enough gas road.

I have traveled all over the United States, and I have learned to stay away from streets or highways named MLK when exploring different cities. These areas are usually high crime areas....areas where MLK himself would be ashamed to have his name associated with. If I was to visit your city and looked on the map and saw a street or highway called MLK, I would make a special effort to avoid that part of the city. A name change is bad for businesses in that area. It's bad for taxpayers too, who will ultimately have to pay to change all the street and highway signs.

its the same here in the UK. Anywhere named after Nelson Mandela, is an are to avoid. I don't know if we have any MLK roads, but we have a lot named for Mandela, and also for a lot of African gollies no-one has ever heard of outside of a liberal cocktail party. Avoid all of them if touring here.

Maybe they can call it the Obama express, where everyone will have to drive a Chevy Volt on it. They can have signs stating how many jobs were saved by the great obama. And Michelle will check your car to see if you have any ice cream.

they should be more realistic , and name roads in the "Hood" like "Muggers Walk" and "Street Hoes Drive" and "Junkie View". at least we'd have an idea of what we were in for.

I'm glad you came out Trudy, I'm sure if it was the FBen express, it would be safer then the MLK Freeway. But trudy, once again, if have just nonsense coming out of your mouth, why post at all? Is global warming keeping you inside?
