murdered doctor in norma

I was wondering if anyone knew the doctors name that was murdered in Norma years ago in his home? Someone was telling me about it and I was wondering if it was a solved case?

yes the case was solved a lawson man spend some time in prison,and also his wife.but there was 2 other people involed in it

my mom called him doc chambers. he was the greatest person to the kids in norma. didn't deserve what happened to him. the only punishment the killers will get will be hell

Ive always been told there were others involded also. Moved North within 3 days after he was murdered.

If you go to The Museum of Scott County at Scott High School, they have newspaper clippings about the crime posted on the wall.

Doc chambers was killed May 29, 1970

I have been told by lots of my family who was raised in the Norma area, that he was a great doc!
i have also been told that he was a doctor there due
to punishment for killing a man in the Scott County Courthouse Courtroom. Shot a man dead!

Not sure if he went to prison or not but have been
told that my grandfather took him food to a hideout in the woods when he was
hiding from the law..

For whatever reason, he was good for these families and this was a time when doctors were scarce..

someone this past weekend told me the man dr Chambers murdered was in court about something he said dr Chambers did... Dr Chambers told him if you get on the stand and lie i will kill you.. and thats what he did he shot him on the stand and spent time for it... everyone says Dr Chambers was a good man, he always stood up for what he believed in.. and helped people, when he was killed the person he let in his house worked for him and thats the only reason he opened the door for the other 2 people that were with them... they tortured him for a combination for a safe.. he never gave it to them... thats what i was told ....
