Report Drug Dealers

Lets take a stand and do all we can to do something about these dealers that are killing thd people we love. Its time to quit turning our heads.

You'd be better off trying to convince your loved ones to quit smoking and get more exercise. Tobacco and obesity are the two leading causes of death in this country. Drug related deaths rank lower than alcohol, homicide, poisoning, and suicide.. though some incidents of homicide and suicide may also be drug-related.

Not to say that the drugs (particularly the pills and meth) in our county don't need to be cleaned up, but they aren't the biggest threat to health right now.

Actually he does have a point. If you really wanna get technical about it, nicotine just as much as a drug as heroine or any other highly addictive chemical people poison their bodies with. I won't say that drugs are not a growing problem in this country but there are much more dangerous infestations that we need to deal with also. Such as our lack of personal responsibility with regard to diet and exercise. Honestly how bad is it getting when the government has to start banning different types of foods because we don't want to make the decision to take the six inch turkey and lettuce on wheat over the double quarter-pounder with cheese with the supersized fries. Come on folks. Nobody makes anybody consume an 800 calorie sandwich, smoke 30 cigarettes a day, eat a methamphetamine capsule, or mold themselves to a couch all day long. Try putting more money into support programs for those who want to be helped and a little less on jailing people for nonviolent offenses. Okay you may have gotten nothing from that at all. I think I'm gonna do some drugs myself right now. Think I'll go with a dip of skoal and after my nicotine addiction has been calmed I will have a cold Bud Light to take care of my alcohol needs and a burrito loaded with cholesterol and trans fats. Anybody wanna come arrest me?

Combined, tobacco and obesity kill 47 times more people annually than illegal drugs. If drugs are an infestation, obesity is an epidemic. Drugs are bad, I get it, but we (our government) spend way WAY too much money chasing after people who are not all as bad as you think. Sure, many of them are worthless good for nothing thieves, but that doesn't mean everyone who uses drugs should be arrested. Our prisons are so full that they're actually running out of space and letting people out because of all the drug users and dealers being locked up, yet the drug problem only gets worse every year. I'm not saying we should stop worrying about drugs, but whatever we've been doing is obviously not working. Should they concentrate more on tobacco and obesity? Absolutely, they're killing much more people than drugs ever did. Isn't a little stupid to be spending billions of dollars fighting the nations 12th greatest health problem when number 1 and 2 are 100% legal?

Here's an idea, call me crazy, but how about taking some of that large lump of federal money to fight illegal drugs and invest it in our schools? Maybe our local college? Perhaps if more effort and funds were focused on fighting ignorance the rest might actually improve? Just a thought.

I agree 100%. I strongly believe that if our unemployment rate were way down, that drug use would likewise be way down. Too many people in Scott County have nothing else to do. The war on drugs hasn't even slowed the problem down.

ok idiots i believe that i would rather be obese than a freaking drug addict....drug addicts make it no where and have no lives and spend the money that they could spend on their children for their drugs they are low lives and deserve to be throw in jail forever.....my mother left me and my other sibling when we were babies bc she decided that her drugs were more important to her then her kids.

but i agree with the fact that it's messed up that things that will kill you are legal. and i'm not saying i want all drugs to be legal. but it's odd that you can go out and buy legally things that are proven to kill you, but you can't go and buy or use or possess a plant that 'god' stated we should. in the bible god said all living plants and animals are on this planet for our use. meaning, god thinks marijuana is good. but our government says it's not so it's wrong and bad and illegal. but a cigarette (which i do smoke and am highly addicted to and no matter how many times i've tried i can't stop!!!) can kill you! and it's legal! and the main reason it has the power to kill you is the chemicals man puts in it. not the tobacco itself. and alcohol. i have a mother who drinks a case of beer or more a day. it's going to end up killing her. and no matter what anyone says she will drink more. i'd rather have cigarettes and alcohol illegal before marijuana. at least when you smoke a joint you won't get in your car and not be able to see straight or think coherently and wreck and kill someone.

and i could go on for days about my thoughts on the other drugs and fast food. most of which i agree should be illegal. but i'll just stop it right here.
