Good post! Add to that, why the heck are they hiking near a sketchy border area between Iran and Iraq. Just asking for trouble. Hopefully, our government can get them out. Looks like they make pretty good bargaining chips for the Iranians.

Ok, we've already been through the idiocy of the hikers, and that they should be punished just for being stupid. If they are allowed back to the U.S.(which we should not go out of our way to get them back) they should NEVER be allowed a passport again. They will either have to spend the rest of their pathetic lives in the good ol' USA, or renounce their citizenship and become a citizen of the oppressive culture they long to be a part of. Either way, they should be chained to a sandwich board that identifies them as the "morons who wandered into a hostile country because we're liberals from Berkely, CA who feel the United States is Evil and thought Iranians are good people." (or something like that)

Let's find every Iranian on US soil and put them in guantanamo for trespassing. See what the Iranians do (start whining incessantly) Remember what the 2 US journalists said when freed from the North Koreans? It was a set up all the way, they had no idea where they were being led, then they were pounced on by N Korean guards. They said it was questionable if they were even taken while in N Korean territory. It's well known that Iran and N Korea are in cahoots with each other.
