FIRST, it's the TRUCKEE-Tahoe Airport, not the Tahoe-Truckee airport.
SECOND, it didn't crash ON the runway, but several hundred yards BEYOND the runway -- still on Airport property, but not ON the runway and was not a threat to other aircraft; the Airport was never closed.
Journalisim has died -- no interest in giving accurate information any more -- make it up if you don't have the facts, just to make a "deadline" or "to be first with a report" -- very sad about the people, but more sad that "reporters" no longer care about FACTS that are germain to the situation.
