Danny Sparks arrested on drugs

If it is Derrick Jones. The police officers KNEW who he was,and wouldnt have needed to ask the name of who Danny had with him.

Like I have always said the inmates are running the asylum!!!

thats none of yur business who his wife is but if danny is guilty which i dont think he is he probably be in a bunch of trouble fact because he is the mayor.if they go after danny go after the rest of them like the fade officers and other law bet there nose aint so clean either.

Well the paper said B. Hall was there. I'm sure he would know the guy!! I think ole Hall needs to be looked into myself. He gives me the creeps!!!!

I'm almost sure the film footage shown on WSAZ showed Richard Williams as one of the officers arresting Danny. I'm sure he knew Derrick. Looks to me like Derrick would be guilty by association if nothing else. And as some posters previously said, Derrick has always acted as if he is better than everybody else. Wonder if his grandma will help him out of this one?

hell no there is nuthing wrong with useing pot.I smoked pot when i had cancer and still do for pain.pot is safer than those dam pills the dr, wrights scrips for.If he was not mayor the law mite not have busted him,I bet some rat got busted and just rated to help some one to just get the mayors job.also if fade has not changed they are not to be trusted eather.rember how crooked roy i, was and his boss bob and that crew where all crooks and every one knows that.Why you think they did not spend there time busting meth and pill dellers?

IF he's guilty? You are a true blue believer. His written statement is basically a confession. "I made a big mistake tonight....This is the first time..." FADE officers aren't going to "go after" themselves, now are they? He was caught selling pot in the school parking lot. This is not a conspiracy. Or maybe it is, he still got caught.

The mayor had a part time job at the prison in Elliot county but he has been banned bc of his arrest!

I'm wondering why was the news media already there ? They took his truck from Dr. Lyons parking lot but then said he was at school .How could he been at both places .I think its kinda strange that out of the blue that the other man just told the Fade officers that he had relations with Danny . A little too convenient to me .I dont agree with what he done but when our higher up officers are selling the dangerous stuff then why wasnt Fade working on catching them instead of a joint being sold .There's just too much stuff that isn't adding up on this . I would much rather see them working on the meth and the pills then a joint .

I agree....it was daylight...he was still sitting on the back of his truck and WSAZ was already there? Come on....Something doesn't click here. Also so very convenient that he was within 1000 fee of a school, and that was what it took for that bust to be a felony... Dan's not stupid, maybe a little misguided but not stupid. Sounds like he trusted somebody just a little too much. I never was much of a Dan Fan but fair is fair and it does appear this is a little to sweet to be left alone. How Handy??

One picture was taken at the scene of the arrest. If I'm not mistakes it was a Journal Times reporter that was credited with the photo. Wsaz was at City Hall three hours later after it was breaking news everywhere.
He could have simply said, I'm not going to meet beside of the school because it is a felony.
It sounds like the good honest people of this town trusted him to much.
Everybody is yelling "set-up". Come on some of you may have fried a few brains cells smoking weed, but use what you have left. He made the choice to meet them and sell it, one joint or a pound. Doesn't matter, it is illegal.
As for the other guy,that is none of my concern.People are just upset that they can't find out who it is. I know who it is, don't know the guy, but I have met some of his family.
I do however think it is strange that the original letter of resignation can't be found according to media sources, but there are copies floating all over town. That should interest people. Know who the media said it was submitted to.

What was the correct thing to do here? Someone asks the mayor to meet them within feet of an elementary school to sell them drugs. He should have notified HIS police department without a moments hesitation and notified them. He alone put himself in that position.
