Posters, if you want to understand why the World has to defeat...and I mean HAS TO DEFEAT Al Qaeda, regardless of the cost, please watch the PBS Documentary! If you have sensitive stomachs, be warned...some of it is very gruesome & ALL of it is very alarming & scary!

I'm not concerned with any of you Trolls little Dramas tonight, I'm thinking about much more serious things, like the survival of the World's Peoples, who do not believe in Sharia Law or the Muslim Faith & wondering how did we get to this point in the World...because of differing Religions?

I don't think she was a "she". Maybe, she was the Truck Driver, else how would he know that she wasn't coming back? I don't like "him" at all.
I'm not really worried about either one of them, actually. I just thought "her" persona was a nice one & that has become rare on Topix.

So here it comes...at last...the bitter truth from progressives. Its a bad thing to be successful. Making money is evil. Gotcha. Must be why the US is in one of the top 3 for corporate taxes in the world...evidently, those in Washington feel the same way. It wasn't the corporate executive who created NAFTA or created impossible union demands (pensions) which drove business overseas. I find it incredibly naive that those on the left to blame business when they also are under tremendous pressure. Yes, big business have faults as well such as ridiculously exorbitant salaries. So, i'm up for the game...what do ya want to replace big business with?
I don't think it is a bad thing to be successful E1, and I like making money as well as the next man. What frosts me is the fact that the game is rigged toward the big man at the expense of the little one. For instance....try competing with Wal-mart as a retailer, or against Home Depot as an independant lumber yard. Try running an independant pharmacy after CVS and Rite-aid come to town. BIG business has all the advantages in this country.
Then comes the real kicker, the folks who reach the pinnacle of success as the CEO of a huge corporation and earn an obscene salary are revered as if they were a god by some of the general population when if the truth be known they do not have to be any smarter than the average American. ALL the advantages are handed to them to be successful when they get the job....I revere that merchant driven out of business by Wal-mart, that former lumber yard owner and that pharmacist MORE than I do any CEO of a huge corporation. Think about it E1, you might even agree !
BTW, while the tax RATE is high, the rate paid by big business once they take advantage of all the tax breaks placed there by their bought and paid for legislators is low, those big men are doing just fine E1 !

NAFTA sent our jobs to Mexico.....I was STRONGLY opposed....and it was passed over the opposition and the warnings of organized labor. This happened while Clinton was on his Republican appeasement tour BUT NAFTA was the brainchild of the Reagan Administration which couldn't get it through congress. Bush 41 knew better than to try....it took a Democrat to sell out Big Labor and ram it through.
Who gave communist China MFN trading status and then placed in the tax code incentives to ship jobs and factories to China....hint...it was not NAFTA or the Dems.

Do they know how to use our laws against us or what?

“Commerce considers labeling Arab Americans a disadvantaged minority”
http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-money/1007-ot...

C’mon libs. Time to turn on the tears, and feel sorry for the poor arabs.

“The Commerce Department is considering naming Arab Americans a socially and economically disadvantaged minority group that is eligible for special business assistance.’

“The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) petitioned Commerce earlier this year to ask that Arab Americans be made eligible for the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), which helps minority entrepreneurs gain access to capital, contracts and trade opportunities.”

The ADC petition cited “discrimination and prejudice in American society[,] resulting in conditions under which Arab-American individuals have been unable to compete in a business world.” The group claimed discrimination against Arab Americans increased after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.”

Now, I don’t know how many Arab businesses have been discriminated against, but methinks there’s an ulterior motive here. Ah! There it is!

“In making the case for minority status, ADC highlighted the National Security Entry Exit Registration System, "which required non-immigrants to register at ports of entry and targeted males from Arab nations; stricter travel guidelines; and ‘no-fly lists’ that predominantly contained the names of Arab-Americans," according to MBDA’s summary of the petition.”

Goodbye no-fly list. Why not just disband the Dept of Homeland security. That would be a good thing.

”The petition also said studies indicate that Arab Americans have seen their earnings decrease since Sept. 11 compared to other ethnic groups”

My income has been decreased by half, but it wasn’t since 9/11, it’s been since Obama took office.

So who gets all these MBDA services? African-Americans, Puerto Ricans, Spanish-speaking Americans, American Indians, Eskimos, Aleuts, Hasidic Jews, Asian-Pacific Americans and Asian Indians. But not Caucasians.

But our turn is coming:

Farrakhan: Soon Whites ‘Will Be the Minority’ In the Country They ‘Took’

The minister sounded overjoyed that minority births outnumber white births in America, according to recent US Census reports. Given the news, Farrakhan noted that white people will soon “be the minority in their own country that they took from the native people.”

Interesting Dee.
As you know, while I am an advocate for the ACA, I am no fan of tighter rules on coal burning unless and until alternatives can take up the slack.
I have not been able to find a clear analysis of the "new" coal rules that the administration has created. I find a LOT of heat on both sides but little light.
Considering the size of the American economy, 11.1 billion is about a drop in the bucket....and I suspect that those coal rules will add MUCH more than this....since we give that much away to single countries a year in the form of foreign aid !
IF THAT IS THE REAL FIGURE Dee....there is no uncertainty, just an excuse to blame Obama. That is not enough cost spread across our population to have an effect on you and I, let alone big business.
