Town controversy boosts Wiffle sales - Greenwich Time

He and his friends used to go hit tennis balls with a broom handle at a local grammar school in Fairfield. The balls would often wind up on the roof.

"The cops would come and throw us out of there," he said.

Even back then, you were thrown off school fields. Nothing has changed.

All you can do is laugh at what these neighbors have created....again, this would have quietly ended in another 4 weeks when the kids go back to school. Nothing like making a mountain out of a molehill. Before you say "why not in your backyard".....they already do play there as well as in the cul-de-sac in front of my house! Neighborhoods are made with friendly "neighbors".

Hope kids go and play wiffle ball with eggs and egg the homes near the wiffle ball field in Greenwich. Probably those people don't want any life in the community - they should have moved near cemetaries.

These kids are above things like that. All they wanted to do is have a little fun. Everyone of them will probably have to stay home on Halloween, just so that they have alibi's when some A SS H OLE does something stupid like that.

Troll: For someone professing the wholesomeness of the kids, you certainly have a tendency to put your own brand of ugly out there.

So now that all is said and done with the neighbors coming out on top, was it really worth it neighbors of the field?

If I were you, I'd keep a real low profile and watch your homes on Halloween because you'll be TP'd and egged for sure. Not by the wiffle ball players, but by their many supporters! Oh! That's right! You can have private police protection 24-7 if you wish. Invite them in for dinner.

And...the truth WILL come out as to who started the circulation of the juvenile's police report to the neighborhood. Your money can only buy so much and this may be a little problem you may not be able to get out of unless...you have the GPD and the town in your back pocket. I'm sure this mystery will be solved as fast as the Martha Moxley case. The GPD are a bunch of whimps and couldn't find a clue if it were wedged in their shorts.

In any case - good luck to all you winners and I hope you live a happy, peaceful, quiet, intoxicated, Xanax fulfilled life. Or better yet - GET A LIFE!
