Im sorry that that happened to you, it was a mistake, people make mistakes. If you want to give me your address (which im sure you will not admit who you are) I would be more than happy to mail you $ back for your entire breakfast. We use REAL peppers and onions (bell peppers) to be exact. We chop them ourselves. Im sorry you dont like them but we must be doing something right because this is our 19th year in business with 90% of the same employees and same owners AND same prices. We are open all year round, 7 days a week. & to "UNKNOWN" I agree, My mom can be a bitch! But thats what makes her a damn good business woman. She appreciates her staff and her employees and goes out of her way for all of them. She is there 7 days a week and runs her own show, she does not have managers or people doing her work. She runs 3 businesses, successfuly and still manages to have timefor her husband of 27 years, 3 kids and 3 grandkids. Cooks all of her food from scratch, does her own payroll and books... Donates to every organization in town with out any questions, takes in kids who need a place to live etc. So think what you want, she is a very good person and puts up with SOOOOOOO much more than any other boss would. I sure as hell would not!

<~~ very loyal customer. Just want to say one thing YOU CANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE. SO PLEASE DONT TRY TO. Think about this. The people who really matter, your loyal customers and the people who appreciate hard work and good food are the ones with jobs and/or a life and they would never take the time to come on here and dis you or complement you so take that in before you let this upset you. The business aside, your family has done some great things for this town. Just think, they could have the personality of the lady down the street! AHHHH

Thank you so much for your offer. We live in Michigan with relatives in Old Forge. I visit Old Forge every 20 years. When I come back to your restaurant in 20 years (If I am "available") We will request a $2.75 credit ($3.75-$1) on your best dinners!

I am sure you talked this over and are aware of who our server was and made sure that he, she got the price of the onions and peppers as being $1- corrected.

I would hope that since he, she told me that some customers were unaware of the extra charge for the peppers and onions, that he,she let the customer know the price when he, she asks the question or the customer asks for them.

I would also like to suggest that white onion and a hot pepper (you can experiment) would add flavor, which was lacking. I'll bring my own dry onion and pepper flakes just in case!

I thanked Stella for her offer and only made the suggestion that the servers make sure they know what the charges are for the add-ons and don't assume that the customers, especially new customers,have read the whole menue and know what the charges are for add-ons.

We don't make lots of money and if we have an issue with someone or something we take it up with that someone or something, not on topix We earn every penny we make and we're not gonna miss one measly michiganite. Well FYI I did take it up with the server who said (he,she) was a member of Walt's family. He, she now knows that the price of the added onions is $1 not $3.75. He, she has not acknowledged that we were overcharged. No doubt, he, she remembers well the incident and knows all the details.

Yes, a mistake was made and people make mistakes. When they make a mistake they should clear it up, acknowledge the incident and the details and at the very least say, "I am sorry; I didn't know the add-on were $1 and not $3.75" I added the wrong price or whoever wrote the price on your bill was mistaken- whatever the reason was.

If ignoring the details of this matter and no interest in reading carefully my experience and failing to acknowledge, agree or disagree with what happened is o.k. with you, I can understand why you don't make a lot of money in O.F.

After saying in my OP that I took up the matter with the server and was still overcharged- you still insist that I should have taken the matter up with "someone or something, instead of on topix.

I would rather have said this in an email to you, rather than on this forum. But you insisted on posting someone as a "tool" "don't come back" "one less Michiganite"

If you insist on more "add-on" advice to me- I'm sure there is no extra charge, because your "add-ons" are "flavorless".

Enough. Problem was solved last week. And the server, who no longer works at walts, was not really a family member. There are 3 kids and im tje only one who waits on table. I am thankful the issue got brought up and the it is now resolved : )

you people really discuss this on here?All you need to know is the place is a "shithole"with rude help that hates tourists!They want your money but not you!Just like 90% of all the buisnesses in old forge.
