WTF! The person who hurt this innocent child needs to spend some time in prison. As someone who knows the common mentality of prison inmates I am sure that whoever hurt this child will be formally "welcomed" by some pi**ed off inmates.

The mom herself needs to be held acountable. This is inexcusable parenting. A responsible parent doesn't throw a party at her home invite total strangers and then leave the baby with those strangers and come backlater and act clueless as to how this happened. That mom needs her butt kicked for being stupid, plain and simple.

First Off, what the hell was the mothedr doing having a bunch of people over for a party while her daughter was at home anyway? Secondly, She left for a shor time? Where did she go while there were people in her house?

Something is not right here.

Thank God the poor child has been removed from her "mother's" care. They said she left for a short time, who was watching her child? Why not take her to Papa's instead of having wild parties with her asleep in the next room?

The "mother" should get jail time - if not for the abuse itself then for child endangerment! I wonder if she thinks the drugs she had to be doing was worth it.

Hmmmm - no mention of the child's father - that's a big shock.

You know she did it, the mother I mean, She Messed up and now she is trying to play innocent, even if she did not PERSONALLY commit the heinous act of hitting her child, she allowed it to happen by "partying" for her 20th birthday.

Who is this girl? thinking it is OK to PARTY when you have a child, I think it is also safe to assume they were drinking underage at this "party" as well, give the child to the grandfather, put the underage offender in jail for her crime.

Some time? The person who did this needs to spend the rest of their life in prison... or better yet, off with their head.

I agree with you all on the fact that whomever did this should be punished. But I think prison is a little on the light side. I think that death by hanging is more appropriate, but only after this sick individual is tortured and beaten.

Anyone who would harm an innocent receives not mercy in my book. Children are the most precious example of love that we have, and to harm one is uncontainable regardless of the circumstances.

I hate the little girl went through this, but I'm glad the news is covering this. Check this mother's facebook since the incident. She shows little remorse.
If she WERE innoccent, she would be cooperating with the police to find out who did it. She KNOWS who did it, and whether its her or some loser man in her life, she has put that person before her defenseless daughter.

I am so sick and tired of hearing these reports. When is our weak society go to stop feeling sorry for these low life criminals and demand execution. Yes, that's right execution! Singapore does not have this kind of garbage because of zero tolerance! We superiour to the world have got it all figured out on the backs of the defenceless elderly and children. OMG please protect the criminal's rights and to hell with the carnage of victims... Maybe your next bleeding heart. Oh I forgot; the poor defense attorney's that flock to protect these scum bags are worse than the criminals... How do you sleep at night?

The mother probably went to buy drugs. Have her do a drug test. She probably got toasted and beat her own kid.

As for antiobamas comment about the father. I am a father of two and dont appreciate that. there are more good fathers than bad. I almost lost my job because i went to all of my wifes O.B. appointments when she was pregnant. I had to throw FMLA at my employer. I ended up getting targeted and eventually fired about 2 years later. I finally made a mistake after 2 years and the pounced. So back off.

Something does not add up here...a child does not get this kind of injury without SOMEONE knowing what the heck happened! Hopefully the truth will come out...for the safety of this child!

The perp will be well taken care of in prison. I'm sure of it.

I am not going to speculate on the activities on the mother. I really could care less. Whatever it was is not a good enough of a reason to leave your child in the company of strangers. Whomever is responsible should pay.

I cried when I saw the picture of this little girl. All I could think of was "Kelsey Briggs". I hope this baby is OK.

I'm a firm believe in parenting classes for all parents under a certain age, say 23 - this is not to say all young parents need classes but for sure this young mother needs Parenting 101 - DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD ALONE period. It is hard to be a GOOD parent and I think classes would be of use to a lot of new parents, when I became a father at 21 I would have went without a doubt and probably would have been all the better for the classes. Just a thought.

I hope this youngster recovers quickly and learns to enjoy life and all that it offers.

This is one time I would applaud a police beating. I am not a big fan of this type of justice, but the police can do it and get away with it in Oklahoma. The animal that did this doesn't need to live.

It is good for the child to be removed from the custody of the mother. But I do not think the child is even safe in the care of DHS. Look at all the children getting hurt and abused in their care. Why not give the child to her grandpa.and give the mother supervised visitations until the investigation is over.This situation reminds me of Kelsey Briggs. Where the mother and step parent both got charged with child abuse and is serving time.
