Kelsey Elizabeth Bransby

My daughter & I just returned from a trip to learn that her friend, Kelsey, had died. We checked on Kelsey's facebook wall to learn that she died yesterday...Can anybody tell us what happened to her? and if anyone knows when/where her funeral may be? Thank you

She was shot in the face two nights ago and passed away last night. Her and my sister marissa were best friends... We don't have any other details at the time...

i just hope they figure out who did this and put them in the chair.i just know that kelsey and marissa are partying in heaven.and it was evil that her killer left her on the couch. and i do know thay kyle and meagen were the ones that kept her alive for at least one more day.

Danny, where was Kelsey? at home? or a friends house? She was such a sweet friend to my daughter who is having a hard time with this. We wanted to go visit Ms. Shelia & take her some food, but didn't know if she was accepting visitors...

Wow! People shouldn't judge others when they have NO idea what the facts are. Ellen, I have no idea who you are or your relationship with Kelsey but I can tell you that you are way out of line. You young adults think you know everything, are invincible and don't need to listen to your parents. Kelsey had a family that loved her and she made decisions contrary to their advise. This is not her mothers fault it is the fault of the deadbeat that shot her!!

Friend, there are no funeral arrangements yet. Her mom is certainly in her own hell and is coping the best she can. I would suggest you either text her or contact her through Facebook to offer your condolences and see if she would like your visit.

Um Ellen, please keep your mouth shut. you have know right to say those things about her mother. You are so F*^@$% up for even saying that. RIP kelsey we were good friends in cosmo school. I'm sorry girl we lost contact after i transferred into night school. Remember that time i was taking you home from school and that big spider flew into my car and landed on the steering wheel? and we both started screaming while trying to get in back out the window?!?! I nearly ran off the road! We were what 16 then!lol :)
I will always keep those fun memories with me and i know so many others will do the same. If any funeral arrangements are made i would like to know about it.I really want to pay my respects to kelsey.

Kelsey was a beautiful young lady so full of life. My son and her were very good friends. We were even blessed to have her with us last Christmas. We laughed, ate a ton, and had an amazing day. Lately, they had spent so much time together and were both heading in a positive direction. I pray for comfort for her family and friends. No Mother should ever have to go through this and while visiting Kelsey at the hospital her Mom was by her side. I pray for justice for this beautiful young lady who was taken entirely too soon. Kelsey has touched so many lives and I know she will forever live in my sons heart.

Well I am so sorry, Ms. Shelia, about the loss of your daughter. She was such a sweet person and friend to my daughter, Rachel. Please accept my sincerest sympathy and prayers for comfort. I pray justice for Kelsey too, that the OKC police will find out who did this and arrest them. We would certainly attend the funeral if you will post her arrangements when known.

Why would anyone ever do this to her?? I can't believe this has happened. She was a friend of mine and will be missed greatly by all of her friends. Please post anything about funeral arrangements.

How dare you sit back and assume that you know what home life was like, whether drugs were involved or not, or even suggestively blame Ms. Sheila for this. You are entitled to your opinion and you are entitled to place yourself on that judgmental pedestal you apparently have yourself on - but you must be a real heartless person to say such things so soon after this horrible, horrible thing.

This is horrible and my heart goes out to her mother. I myself, being a mother, could not possibly imagine such a devastating thing happening and being able to cope. My prayers go out to her and her family and I hope that all of everyones love and God's help sees them through this dark time. And we can all hope that who ever shot this poor girl is brought to justice.

I agree. This is no ones fault besides the person who shot Kelsey. I think it's horrible that someone would ever feel comfortable enough to say or think anything like that. Her mother is probably beyond heart broken and it's crazy that "Ellen" would try to pin any of this on her.

Let me say this. Unless you hear it from me your information is probably wrong. As of right now what happened is still unknown. As you can probably imagine, the detectives have a lot of information they need to sort through and they are getting more information daily. I would still ask that if you or anybody you know think you have any information what so ever to please call the OKC PD Homicide division and tell them what you know. Even if it is something as trivial as you think you might have been the last person to talk to her Thursday night.

No arrangements have been made for a funeral or memorial service yet. And I will let you know now that judging by the amount of problems that we had at the hospital it might end up being just family and close friends only. I will try to post information along through this channel and/or Kelsey's facebook as to what is happening. Thanks to all for your concerns.

It's not your fault that any of this happened. A lot of people are beating themselves up because they think they could have done something to change the outcome. All we can do now is give the police our information and let them sort it out. I will post any information about what/when the services will be as soon as I know.

And to think that one of my posts was judged as funny, clueless, and nuts. That is one of the reasons I am pusing for a family and close friends service. So far only a few of Kelsey's friends have shown any amount of respect for her or her family. How many of you were at the hospital? Did you happen to see me there? I was the first one there and the last one to leave. To say that I'm nuts and clueless just shows your ignorance.
