were put at the entry of our neighborhood

as it was aired on the evening news.

All of this was handed over to the District Attorney,

Richard Smothermon, but not one thing was ever done about it.

Protests took place

in front of the District Attorney's office with signs stating,

"No Deals For Raye Dawn".

A petition was even done in order

to keep my son away from me when he was born.

My son is absolutely no business of Kathie Briggs.

There was even a petition to bring charges against me,

even though I was working with the District Attorney's office to the fullest extent.

There were no protests or petitions about Mike Porter recieving a deal,
or about keeping my son away from him -

the person whom murdered and sexually assaulted her granddaughter on October 11, 2005.

In fact, the Briggs family agreed to
the plea bargain of murder and sexual
assault being dropped
and to him pleading to "Enabling Child Abuse".

District Attorney Richard Smothermon

exhumed my baby's body

to look for sexual assault

and then he turned around and dropped it!

Do you have any idea what I went through when

I was told they were going to do that?

Let me tell you,

it almost killed me knowing they were going

to disturb my daughter's resting place
and it will bother me for the rest of my life,

even more because now I know they did it for NO reason.

I will say we agree on one thing and one thing only she couldn't have recieved a fair and balanced trial. Do not get me wrong from what I have read she seems guilty of at least facillitation of child abuse. That said there is no way she recieved a fair trial, there were too many people who knew the ins and outs of this case for it to be fair. It was too public to hold it so close to home. At the very least she should recieve another trial somewhere the jurors can not be biased. Then she can be convicted fairly. I do believe she is guilty though.

The last time that Raye Dawn Smith spoke for herself was when she was in court, after sentencing. She screamed out,"I don't understand!" Did Kelsey understand when she was being beaten to death? whokilledkelsey.com

The Briggs may have stirred up a publicity campaign, but they are not in control of the entire state of Oklahoma. Even you have to realize that. You never contacted Kathie Briggs, because you are one of the most memorable people I have ever come across. And as far as I know, Kathie Briggs never brought you up. No abuse confirmed against RDS?
Then explain about the bruises found on Kelsey's back and bottom in January of 2005.
Why did DHS get involved to begin with?
Where's the proof of how this happened to Kelsey?
Why would an ER doctor contact DHS if it wasn't abuse?
No one here BUT THE JURY saw the pictures that were taken of Kelsey.
The jury was privy to information AND pictures that NO ONE has seen.
And you call the jury prejudiced?
Against whom?
Whenever there is a death of a child, of course, people DO go crazy and they want justice.
Maybe women should WAKE UP and if they aren't ready to become parents and/or want to hook up with different men who don't like their children, then maybe they should give their children up for adoption instead of abusing and/or watching them being abused to death.
As for the insurance policies, I never heard that the Briggs had 2 policies out on Kelsey. Lance covered Kelsey for dependent life insurance from the military to the sum of $10,000 which is hardly enough to get rich from. As for the other policy, I heard it was from the Smith camp.

I just found this in the OCCY Report. This is so very sad. I am going to type this because I can't copy and paste it. Forgive my typos please. This is just some of the excerps from the report.

From Page 26:
The worker reorted the mother had completed her classes. The treatment plan also identified "conditions that need to be corrected," and "desired results." The DHS treatment plan responses are as follows:

Kelsey's parents will be able to protect her from further abuse, emotional, and physical, and be able to demonstrate proper physical care and nurturing of the child.

Kelsey will be free from physical and/or emotional abuse and trauma as seen by the fact that she has no new inflicted injuries and is emotionally bonded to her parents.

It is the opinion of the OSJO that:

Kelsey's parents had not demonstrated an ability to protect Kelsey, nor was Kelsey free from physical and/ or emotional abuse.

The treatment plan had not been completed.
