It hardly matters how much money is "spent on education," if the money is spent foolishly and nothing really changes.

A school district in Western Oklahoma, which has no air conditioning in it's class rooms, spent a bundle of public money to build a fancy building for "administrators" - well away from the schools. Apparently, the "school" superintendent and the school board members didn't want to have to be inconvenienced by being around the real school and the real students.
That's just not right.
