The term "pro-lifers" is over simplified, as is the term "choicers" or "pro-choice"(all those titles are oxymoron's - LOL). It appears that MOST who describe themselves as "choicers" do not approve of Abortion on DEMAND (NOTE SPECIFICITY PLZ - I'm NOT referring to cases of incest/rape which account - according to the socialist N.Y. Times - for >1% of all abortions - look it up) for themselves, but think others should have the "choice" to decide (ultimately) to murder their own child. That was a harsh conclusion, but I am responding IN KIND. Don't forget, several "pro-lifers" have been murdered over the years for their stance as well. People need to accept the FACT that there are SOME on both sides of this divisive issue who are certifiable nut jobs & are not supported by the vast majority of people on their side ... we can at least agree on that. Well, RLM, on that ONE point, we can agree. Do NOT get used to this, as we are not cordial, civil, or otherwise passive towards one another. But today, it appears you have taken your meds, and are at least coherent. Concise would also be good.

Not saying that's what I would do, but I would certainly not go about throwing my opinions in someone's face for choosing to do so. I will not bomb abortion clinics and such. These crazy prolifers are ending life to support their cause? Ha! How ironic. When these idiots do things like that, it is really hard for me to take them seriously. The whole abortion debate is nothing but a friggen waste of time, energy, and money that could be spent on something more productive, for instance: feeding and taking better care of all of the children abandoned in orphanages or taken away from parents who beat them, molest them, neglect them, and who made it known to them that they weren't wanted in the first place. You pro lifers are idiots. Do something more productive. Adopt all the unwanted children that we already have out there. EXCELLENT post, and I couldn't agree more. I was very glad to hear that this abusive law had been struck down. That's one victory for the forces of light and reason.

DOH wrote: Maine-taining Momentum By ten o'clock last night, a couple thousand people had gathered to celebrate what they thought would be the first voter victory for gay "marriage." Moods were high, and for same-sex couples, expectations were higher. Downtown, the county clerk was already stocked with boxes of new marriage applications that had replaced "Bride" and "Groom" with "Applicant 1" and "Applicant 2." The champagne was on ice. All they were missing was the final confirmation that Mainers had handed them their first win on counterfeit marriage. That news never came. In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, it was clear that the presumptions about New England and its social liberalism were no match for the people's commitment to real marriage. For the first time in this fight, voters rejected (53% to 47%) a same-sex "marriage" bill after elected officials approved it. From the Northeast to the west coast, voters have beaten back the Left's agenda in all 31 states that have put marriage to the test. In a sometimes emotional and often overwhelming contest, the Stand for Marriage Maine coalition withstood intense pressure from inside and outside the state. They were outspent and outmaneuvered, but one thing they weren't was outnumbered. According to the unofficial results, Question 1 lost in only three of the state's 16 counties. As Bangor News reports, homosexual activists won by just a single point in two of those three counties. Of course, what makes the victory even more incredible is that these same Mainers legalized medical marijuana and higher spending on the same day -- so it's not as if the state suddenly turned conservative. Protecting marriage was a goal shared by all parties and ideologies. Our heartfelt congratulations go out to everyone on the ground in Maine, and in particular, FRC's Watchman on the Wall pastor who helped led the coalition effort: Bob Emrich. Together with help from FRC Action and others across the country, he helped repudiate Maine's leaders for turning their backs on constituents. It's not unreasonable to suggest that people like Governor Baldacci (D), who had the liberal special interests in their back pocket, may soon pay a political price. Now that they've seen the potency of this issue, it's safe to say that any legislator who voted for same-sex "marriage" will be in for some sleepless nights before the next election. Meanwhile, we hope the message from Maine voters will be heard in Washington and state capitals around the nation. Traditional marriage is a winning issue in every corner of America! Did it ever occur to you that gay people are the least likely of all to have an abortion? If they ever get pregnant it was carefully planned & wanted. You claim to be pro-life yet your true agenda is to spread hate. You are bitter because you are unable to control people who are different than you. You have no place in a freedom loving society or a true Christian community.

I completely agree, not to mention that the imbecile who posted this stupid article obviously posted it on the WRONG thread. However, it's typical of militant xtianist homophobes, as they don't have much intelligence to begin with, and have even less compassion for their fellow human beings.

I think you are on the wrong thread, homey. There's a legalize marijuana thread on the top stories forum. But you might want to consult an English tutor first, as your grasp of the language appears tenuous at best. Have a stoney day.

Wrong thread, "genius." Next time, try reading before you post. That is assuming you can read through your weed-induced state. Judging from your rather rambling post, your abilities look rather impaired.

It certainly wasn't coming from people praying to end women's right to choose the direction of their own health care. Who among us knows what the prayers were? And if God is a loving God, why does He not answer any prayers for the ending of abortion? I mean, I know the mills of God grind slowly, but we've been at this abortion thing a lot longer than the Bible has been around, right? So why do we have the ability to terminate a pregnancy, if God does not want us to? And PLEASE do not say "Satan," as God created Satan TOO. Did he need a foil for his Goodness? Why? Isn't He ALL-POWERFUL? What's with the evil?

there are no gods, Gods, Demons, Angels, or heretics, except of our own making. Man made God, not the other way around. When all humans realize this, we will start believing in ourselves, and quit relying on a mythical "higher power" to regulate our behavior; we will effectively regulate it ourselves. Imagine that.(I know; you can't. That's why you need God. Sorry about your luck.
