I have just read A Beautiful Child and found it heartbreaking, which is why I came on the internet to see if anything new had been discovered. The book was updated by the auther 5 years ago so a lot could have happened since then. From reading the posts on this site I see no-one is any nearer dicovering the remains of Michael or the identity of Sharon. I will keep checking to find out if there is any news.

She is a woman from Florida. She has a huge record of fraud and identity theft in the area where she lives, Brandon/Tampa. She most likely met Floyd and Sharon there when Sharon was working at mons venus, but who knows.

We found out about it because we have been in contact with someone who knows and knew all of these characters. This person told us it was discovered by police who she was and we looked up the woman's criminal records and sure enough, the very recognizable face of the "mystery woman" Floyd had in his wallet was evident. You cannot see it very well, but if you look closely at the mystery woman's black and white photo, she has a very large "outy" mole on the left side of her mouth. It was not so evident in the black and white photo until we seen the color mugshots of her, her face aged a bit. Then when we looked back at the black and white, suddenly it was obvious.

She is just a bit older than Sharon would have been. We have wondered if Sharon is maybe related to her in some way.

One thing I just thought of is maybe she does have sort of a somewhat closer association to the family because she seems to be somehow close to Floyd's sister's ex-daughter-in-law, but she is also in the range Sharon would be and lived in the same area so maybe she also knows her in the same way, just as someone she met through Floyd or maybe he through she but it's hard to really say without actually having first hand knowledge.
