We need to stop the drugs in Paden!!!

Please let me know your opinions! WE have got to stop this problem, it has been going on for way too long and we all know it! It is time for us to take a stand and TAKE OUR TOWN BACK NOW!!!!!

is it true letters went out to the people of paden saying who the drug dealers were? or is this just rumor?

It's true. A friend of mine got a letter. She said that it listed five names. Some really surprised me, the others not so much.

If you want to take your town back, start by forming a neighborhood watch. Then finish that up with following up and sticking with it. You may have to keep embarrassing the drug dealers. You just have to realize that there may be back lash. And one more thing, get something going for these kids to do. I graduated from Paden, and I can tell you, there was nothing else to do there on Friday nights but sit up at the Gulf and drink. Get a community center going with arcade games, a dance floor something like that. Where kids can go and have FUN--that doesn't mean have the churches there preaching to them---let them have fun and have a safe place place. Small towns are notorious for drug use because the kids keep the drug dealers in business and they do it because they are bored.

Good thing we got here lived here all my life and will continue to live here. Communities that take action on stupidity will still be communities in the future. Paden has no law, but needs one that will stand up for the rights of this town. Drugs will always be here but we have came to the point that at any given time you can see a drug deal go down. I have seen them at old car wash, post office, pirates bay parking lot, church, school, just its sad that it is so open here and everyone looks the other way. Its bout time someone has stood up and step out and is openly against the problem. But then again posting on here or myspace will not solve the problem it takes the community coming together and standing firm out in the open working alongside law enforcement officials that are not biased and takeing the backlash in the face and still moving forward.

the cops aren't going to do sh1t!!!!!! It is up to the community and only the community to do something about it. The cops are lazy and they don't give a flying fudge about real crimes!!!!

If you want to stop these things from going on the first thing you need to do is to stop sending things out in the mail and myspace and come out and tell people who you are and stop hinding behind the computer more people will join the cause then.

whocares if they are doing this using the mail, or via myspace!! Maybe they are scared of the so called drug dealers... when people are high you never know what they are capable of right??? That's the great thing about the INTERNET!! Anyways the people on the list hahahaha funny they left off several pills pushers!! But spot on with how correct it was!! About time someone stands up for the little community should of been done ages ago!!

Not saying its not the right thing to do. Just saying is going to be hard for anyone to join them if they dont know who it is. How is sending things in the mail and making a myspace helping the town? If you want to help the town and know for a fact these people are dealing then stand up and do something about it. Just puting things in the mail and on myspace isnt going to stop anything.

well it's already sparked a town meeting... so I guess that's a start right? Plus, awareness is the key!!

the names on the list Theo Springer, Eddie Seargent Bobby Taylor and John Tomlin (Who is John Tomlin?) Some of these guys have kids in school I wonder how the letter affects them????? Kinda sad.

I think the tomlin guy lives over behind the lil grocery store! He use to have a long pony tail.... That prolly doesn't help, but anyways

I know from being a teenager hanging out in Paden the druggs and drinking of minors has been going on for a VERY long time. The police seemed to have cut down on it alot since then. BUT I do know people move to Paden b/c there are no cops and it is a quiet place to have/do druggs and no one bothering you. I put my kids in Paden schools b/c I thought it was a better choice then Prague but all this scares me and the fact that the police don't seem to be COMPLETLEY ON TOP of things. Which I do not know for a fact that they are not just seems they aren't. I think paden is a great town and I like the fact of knowing everyone its just you never REALLY know someone. I am all for making this town a great place and if there are plenty of us willing to stand up and figure out what to do I have faith we can.

Do you not think they sell drugs in Prague?

Of course they sell drugs in Prague, but prague is not our community. We are trying to put a thorn in the side of those that sell in Paden, we cant stop it but maybe hinder it. And the worst part is that most of the dealing in the paden area is pushed hard to the young people, I know that oxy's sell on average $1 per mg most places so a 20mg pill would cost $20 on average, but in Paden 20mg oxy's are selling for $11 and that is market that young people can afford. I am wondering if we can complain to an outside agency "OSBI" or something like that to see if they would help. Just a thought. And also is it not "freedom of speech" to send out these letters, so how can someone say they are going to sue I don't understand. Also the girl that had the wreck east of town is it true that one of those on the list sold her some pills just before it happened and was there on scene but left wonder how the pills were not found HMM? or is this just a small town rumor.

why did every one quit talking

I can tell you the problem. Paden has a population of about 500. It also has 6 churches including the one west and north. years ago the population was about 80% church goers and now what less then 40% maybe. If your name was on the list dont blame someone for it. Blame yourself for that reputation. WOW mine wasnt on there B/C I dont hang out with the wrong crowd, that is good ole common sense.
