I was just wondering how the Department of Children and Families in Okeechobee gets away with placing foster children in homes with convicted felons. Do they even bother to check things out? Or do they just take people for their word?

Okeechobee County Dept of Family and Children Services tend to close their eyes when they don't want to see and turn their heads when they don't want to hear. I have never seen a more poorly ran organization in my life. They do not care about the children. They just want to place the children in a home (any home) so they can feel that they have done their job. The so called weekly visits to check on the children after they stick them in a home are more like MONTHLY visits that may consist of a 15 minute stop so they can write a false report stating ALL IS WELL. If the caseworker would open their eyes and ears they would see ALL IS NOT WELL. But that would require more paperwork if they observed so they choose not to listen or to hear the children. The caseworker should be forced to live in the home where the children are placed for a minimum of 2 weeks. The Foster parents will have shown their true colors by then.

How about the okeechobee county judge that reunites children with their parents again and again for years on end. How many times can a child be removed . Ask the okeechobee county judge about the family she just reunited and now the children are missing. Yes that's right missing. Reunite at no cost. The ones who just paid the price are the MISSING children..
