In this country you can be anti-God, anti-religious, anti-American; you can be pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-anything. But you cannot wear a button that say the same words as our Pledge of Allegience - One nation under God? Their shocking actions make me anti-Home Depot and I will exercise my free speech right. I will put my money where my beliefs are. It won't be at Home Depot again.

You go baby. I have a feeling you won't have trouble finding employment. Ok, from now on it's Lowe's. Goodbye, Home Depot. I will not be back.

That's asinine. If the button was a problem they should have said something about when he first wore the button. Besides it's not a biblical quote. It's a quote from the Pledge of Allegience.

These types of businesses want to be your best buddy when it comes to buying from them, but if you work for them its a whole different story.
They would rather be politically correct buy canning you. Guess the "HOME" in Home Depot really doesn't mean a thing.

Maybe a business owner in Keezer's home town who supports and admires his display of faith and support should give this young man a job. And, Home Depot, shame on you for taking exception to a quote from THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
PLEASE!!!!!

Yes, it has always been Lowes with me!! The United States are based off of Christianity and they are contradicting themselves. Stand on what you believe God will bless you for that.

"Under God" was not a part of the original Pledge of Allegiance. It was added, I think, during Eisenhower's presidency, probably unconstitutionally.

All employers have the right to set codes for employee conduct. When someone accepts the employment, these codes are explained and the employee agrees to follow them. If you don't want to follow them, you can't work there. Your choice.

Good for Home Depot!

Is it no wondr that our Great Country is in the shape that its in. This nation was founded on the very Christian principles that his button stands for!! "One Nation Under God" Yet we as a nation cater to all other religions and people who choose to come to our country. Yet we fail to recognize our own. The very ones who made this country so great. I wonder what my Grandfather who fought in WWII would say if he were alive today.

I am really sad at what we have become!!

For one, this story was run a couple of weeks ago and is now being dragged back up to elicit a response I guess. As for those who see this as Home Depot trying to oppress someone for their religious beliefs, put some real thought into it. This is a national company with thousands of employees who all have personal beliefs. For them to allow him to break company policy to espouse his beliefs they would be setting a precendent. Suppose that later someone wants to wear a pin that says that they support atheism or some other religion that you disbelieve. With a precedent in place of breaking policy, they would be in a more delicate position then they are here.
And for those who say that a person can say anything he or she pleases as long as it is not about God. Try to consider those of us who are not religous or racist who are unable to aquire the means to move out of the bible belt. Yes for some reason those two go hand in hand here and I am tired of both being pushed on my relentlessly.

I cannot believe this! What is our country coming to? It is getting to the point that whatever we do, someone is offended. And we can't stand up for God publicly there are some serious problems. But I thank you for doing what you truly believed and God will take care of you in more ways than you ever dreamed of! As for Home Depot, I will no longer shop there and hopefully EVERYONE else will follow suit. God will deal with them also but not in a way they will like!! I do believe in one God, our Lord Jesus Christ and thank him every single day for all the many blessings!!!

That's it!! I live in a small town and the only building supply open for us weekend fixer-uppers is Home Depot. I guess I'll have to drive the 26 miles to get to Lowes. It has gotten to the point that our way of life, our religious values, our pride in our country and support of the basic principles that makes us Americans are being threatened by concern over political correctness. I wonder what would happen if a small group of Americans went to, let's say Iran, and told them that their way of life offends us. Would they change? Would we continue to live in their country with our heads on our shoulders? I think not!
Bye Bye Home Depot.

Young Mr. Keezer, God will reward you for your convictions.. Hat's off to you! I for one will NEVER set foot in another Home Depot again and I have already begun a rally with the old folks that I hang out with.

Home Depot you might as well close your doors because we Christians will take a stand and you will feel the blast for our stand.

The Lowes here in Memphis have always said Merry Christmas, at one time Target would not say Merry Christmas and I ask one of their managers one day why they wouldn't say Merry Christmas and she told me the company didn't want to offend the any one so when I left my basket full of Christmas gifts and walked out I spoke my words. About two years ago they changed that policy and now say Merry Christmas at least here in Memphis because there was an out cry from there not saying it.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
