As does mine; also just heard that a volunteer firefighter has been charged with setting the fires. This is equal parts sad and deplorable...what on earth was this guy thinking? Hope they throw the book at him.

Please read a little closer, the fires in Mannford were started by someone in a white truck, unknown who & this is where the firefighter died.
The fire started by a "volunteer firefighter" was in Oakhurst, west of Town West off of SW Blvd.....not the same.

Keystone Parent, I had a co-worker tell me that a volunteer firefighter was a suspect in this case, and when I went to read the story of course I discovered that it was NOT the same fire my former school mate, John Adams died in. I think some people don't know the Green Country area enough to know the difference between Oakhurst and Silver City.

RIP John...yet another Sandite gone but not forgotten...

I attended the funeral, it was a beautiful celebration of his life, his love for the community, his family & most of all his sacrifice for those unknown & even those unappreciative of his actions.
