I personally don't care to berate anyone, but I feel the people of York should take a closer look.

Seems like some folks have in 'in' for the good Mr. Nadeau but I can only speak from experience. I met Mr. Nadeau regarding a family court matter. He was very knowledgeable, very kind, understanding and helpful. He and his staff treated me and my family with the utmost respect. The result, with his help, is exactly what we had hoped for.

The People of York County, Maine have spoken they were ready for a change in the Probate Court. On June 10th, 2008 it happened. Donna Bailey defeated the incumbent judge overwhelmingly.

This Judge is awesome. I just went to court recently for a family court matter and he was very professional and kind.

I hired Mr. Nadeau to represent me about 1 year ago, and I can tell you all that while he SEEMED caring, professional & kind... he is a WOLF (in more ways than one) in sheep's clothing so to speak. This "man" should be investigated... and his license to practice law should be revoked!

I call myself annonymous because our case is still pending and on its way to appeals court. We THOUGHT we had a great lawyer in Mr. Nadeau, but $40,000 later he dropped our contingency case in mid-stream. Whatever happened to justice, HONESTY, and the right thing? You know the signs coming into Maine,... "Maine, the way life should be"?; Mr. Nadeau adds new meaning to that. Don't let that caring smile of his fool you. I am not from Maine but reside here now and have since 2001. Maine's judicial system has left a bad taste in my mouth. The more I find out, the worse it gets. If you are rich and live here you will be fine, but if you aren't watch out. They will chew you up and spit you out. "TRUST No ONE", RESEARCH, RESEARCH EVERYTHING YOURSELF. I had a lawyer tell me that Maine law and the truth are two different things. What does that tell you?????

As previous comments have indicated, Ex- judge Nadeau is no longer operating out of Wells, Maine, or in Maine at all. It is rumored he has a small practice in Bedford, NH.

My extended family hired him for a case and he droped the ball and they now want to go after him for all the wrong doing that he did. What we found is that he has a hard time with telling the truth, and we want to know if others found that to the case as well.

I think its pretty clear that none of us are happy with his law practices.(If you want to call it that)It's more like soak you dry practices!!!! and do nothing for it!!!!!

I guess you can ya-all say that he is not a reparable attorney? We have our opinion and we all know what that is worth, its just to bad that he is still out there and keeps taking people with his false promises of day light at the end of the tunnel and we found out it was a train. He really milked the case. But he is a wolf all right, just with the wrong head. Barbara, you should turn him in, you are not the first.

I know he still has a license to practice in Mass. and I do believe in Maryland. Not to sure on that one. He has a law office in Bedford NH. He does need to have his license to practice law revoked. He took us for a lot of money, then with drew from the case, and we think he gave all our information to the opposing party's attorney, needless to say we lost our case. From what I understand there is a judgement against us, so he is still looking for more money, but as of yet has NEVER contacted us. Class action suite anyone?

I am game for a class action, but did he ask for a big retainer from any one and as the case grew older, did he keep saying that he was going to win? And did he bill you every month? Or agree to take a portion of the take? And did he out right lie on what was to happen? If enough are willing to say he did lie just to milk the case so to speak, then some thing can be done.
And if Barbara could say what happened to her as to the wolf statement that would greatly help. In a class action.

He asked for $25,000 retainer. All together we paid him $50,000. He said we had a great case and we were going to win and to make him first chair on our case. He billed us every month but NEVER asked if he could take any money out of our account. He dropped us mid stream and then said we owed him $30,000 more and harassed our other lawyer by sending her billings, but we never heard a word from him, nor did our other lawyer tell us about the billings he was sending.
