Out of pocket expense for health insurance used to compensate the administrators thanks to the inexperience of the Local School Board?
Are kids being asked to bring their own toilet paper supply to school to offset the costs of the overpaid administration who is in bed with the teachers? One must wonder. When is the politics of running the school going to be replaced with solid business sense. With all the teachers voting their political pundits to the School Board why then is the President of the Teacher's Union crying foul? Where is the accountability to the taxpayers? |

Judged: 2 OGDENSBURG — With more than 40 teaching positions lost in the Ogdensburg City School District in the past five years, the head of the teachers union is calling out district administrators for taking raises. Ogdensburg Education Association President David G. Price said this year’s 3.75 percent pay increase to administrative officials is a result of a process heavily stacked in favor of the administration. “My concern is that the scale always tips towards administrators and away from teachers,” he said. |

Administrations from all agencies are voting themselves raises at the expense of the labor force. They often promote incompetent staff and give those closest to the top heafty upgrades.
They demand the subordinates to be obedient to them and threaten disciplinary actions if anyone speaks up. They corrupt the Union leadership and utilize the powers of fear, intimidation, and covert retaliation masked by deception. Labor has continued to give consessions by signing long term contracts with New York State and ignore the local memberships call for help in addressing any type of grievance. Teacher's have been crying foul for years and President Price will now begin his public rants for accountability. Two words. Fixed costs. They are fixing the costs of education at the expense of the students. Peanuts. Popcorn. Cracker Jacks! |

One might think they wouldn't accept the raise........but they will.

Many would have so much more respect for these administrators if they stepped up and said, "no, our programs, sports, students, are suffering from cuts that have to be made, so we won't take raises". All we hear in the news is them cry and complain about the cuts that have to be made. I believe Mr. Vernsey was on the news commenting on how the Dome might even have to be shut down....yet he is adding to his 6 figure salary???? Hypocrites take raises like this. No one has the balls to stand up and be the first to say "no, use the money elsewhere in the budget". It's happening at all the schools. Look at Canton. They sent bus loads to Albany to rally for monies for their school teachers and programs and yet all administration got a raise. |
