FDLE has to go to Ocoee Police Department and go threw every officers records and personel files and deal with the lack of responsiblity and how the leaders in the department hide wrong doings of those officers who party with the leaders- parties commonly known as the Bar-B-Q Squad and the meeting is called choir practice. There are deep secrets in that department.

Orange County could have filed charges on Maroney and sent him home. He is not a flight risk. They only made the arrest to get on the news and humiliate him.

I don't think all cops are bad, but you cannot defend the bad ones for the simple reason that some cops are good. Does that make sense?

Just read the below article and watch the video. This is just another idiot cop abusing his authority.

Wow, your name really does say it all. Only a true "dumb dumb doggie" would call someone a moron and make his next post a lecture about insulting.
As far as examples, here are a few. They are really dumbed down in hopes you will be able to understand:
Your loser teenager, due to lack of parenting, gets himself on the wrong side of his drug dealer. You call 911, expecting the cops to undue 17 years of lazy parenting and bail his sorry butt out before his next trip to pinehills to score some crack is his last. This will entail officers putting their life on the line to save the waste of oxygen you bred.
How about your wife is cheating on you because of lack your lack of ability and you, in a pathetic attempt at masculinity, decide to confront the new boyfriend. Unfortunately for you, the new boyfriend is bigger and smarter than you (not much of a stretch huh?) and your little stand off ends up with you shot and him holding everyone hostage in the house. Do you really think EMS is rushing in to save you. Nope, they are down the block at a safe distance, drinking coffee and planning where they will have lunch while the cops are trying to figure out a way to save you before you bleed out. Most likely they will put themselves in danger to get you out of the stupid situation you made yourself.
This is all sad

I worked with Tom for 10 years. 2 years of that the was my road partner. We called me his "Work Wife" and not for sexual reasons, for protections reasons. He never let anyone hurt me. He was my best friend, and he could not have been more proud of his wife, her job and how she climbed Mount Everest twice, and she would go on afternoon runs for miles.

On the road, he would never let anyone hurt me or disrespect me, and off duty, he did the same for my family. He is part of my family.

2 years ago, my husband passed away. He was an Ocoee Police Officer also. Maroney immediately showed but at my home and helped with everything and anything I needed. He planned the entire funeral, he took the police equipment so that I would not hace to be broken hearted to have to go threw it. He help raise money so I could pay for the funeral- He never left my side, he protected me, he was my team player, and he has never left my side. Call me Tom- you know my number your friend 391

Michelle you are such a drama queen. So I suppose since he was your "partner" he would never do anything like this right? Didn't you accuse another Ocoee officer of sexual harassment? Didn't they come and take your gun and badge due to your irratic behavior? Get on with your life and leave OPD alone.

Exactly what has he done in your opinion that makes him a GREAT cop?
Maroney has a resume at the Ocoee police department a mile long. He created the citizens police academy and spent hours bringing "backward" Ocoee up to speed. In my opinion, he is too good to work for Ocoee. How would you like if the PD turned their back on you before all the facts were known. It is ridiculous and I hope he sues the PD for a lot of money! They should have talked to a "real" employment lawyer before they pulled that little stunt! Why do you think all other deparments put there officers on unpaid leave because they don't want to be sued if charges are dropped. Maroney, good luck and get the hell out of Ocoee once you get your million dollars!!!

Since Maroney did this in 2004- I bet they accused the first girl of lying, now look. Guess what?? Most woman do not lie about this! And Maroney admitted to them both- so you all should be ashamed
Get your facts straight. He did not do this in 2004. Asked a girl and she said no end of story. It is not a crime between two consenting adults. People do far worse in their bedrooms. This alleged "victim" sounds like she changed her mind and wanted to get him in trouble. It is so easy to accuse anyone of anything. Wait until the facts come out before judging him!

The people of Ocoee are good honest and hardworking citizens, as a whole, no better or worse than anyother place on the planet. But we deserve better than this and I am tired of this type of headlines and especially since Maroney committed the same act in 2004 but got away with. Why wasn't he fired then and there? We have one of the highest paid City Managers and Human Resource Directors in Central Florida and why weren't they moving aggressively to put out the word that this type of conduct or anything even close to it, would absolutely not be tolerated. Mr. Mayor VanderGrift and City Commissioners how about cleaning this mess up in a hurry so that we as taxpayers and the citizens of the surrounding communities knew completely and unequivocally that we do not need this type of publicity and will not stand for it. Its your job so get on with it.<quoted text>
You want him fired because he asked a girl if she wanted to get spanked? He was off duty in his home. He deserves as much privacy as the next person. People do far worse in their bedrooms. What was this "sarah" girl doing there in the first place? Sara said no to Maroney and end of story. I don't even know why he got written up for this behavior. From what I read she wasn't even an intern when he asked her. I saw sarah on TV (hidden from view) making some big story about this and I bet she got paid $ for her little TV segment. Don't be critical when you don't have all the facts.

I agree. And why is he on PAID leave? Because he is Goclon's buddy, the same guy who signed off on his written warning when he did this the last time. The same guy who resigned his position as chief because he didn't feel qualified. Does he suddenly feel qualified now? There are lots of problems in that department that never make it to the media. Then the mayor goes on tv and looks like an idiot because he has no clue what is going on in his own city. The OPD needs to be dissolved and taken over by the Orange Co Sheriff's Office. Good officers would keep their jobs and the "good ole boys" would have to look elsewhere. The citizens of Ocoee should demand it.
Maroney did not do this in 2004. He asked a girl she said no. In fact, if anything it gives his current story more credibility. If the current "victim" said no, I bet he wouldn't have done anything.

How do you know the officer is at fault? Maybe she changed her mind and wanted to get him in trouble. I'm not sure she is the true "victim". Although I do feel for his wife. I know her and she is a lovely person who got caught in the crossfire. She is very strong, beautiful and smart with a great career. I know she'll pull through this a stronger person!

First off she did know people at the party and came with friends. She was invited. Whenever I have a get together I like my friends to bring their friends...that's what a party is all about! The party was in a small apartment and everyone was hanging around outside due to the lack of space inside. They were talking and the walked around the retention pond while they talked. She just thought he was a nice guy and was just socializing...like you're SUPPOSED to do at a party. I personally know Maroney and he is very personable and funny, especially with a few drinks in him. Who knew? She is no way to blame for this and had no indication he was going to wig out on her. And by the way, she is not some underage high school girl. She is an intelligent, professional thirty year old woman. I know the facts because I was there. I saw the welts on her face and the bruises on her shoulders where he tried to force her down. I felt very bad for her.
And those of you who seem to think ALL Ocoee officers are scum...they immediately went into professional mode, took photos of her and reported the incident to the supervisor on duty. To me those actions speak volumes about their character.
If you went into "professional" mode why did she wait to the next day to report this "alleged" crime? Why didn't she go to the police department right away to show all these marks? I never read she had welts on her face or shoulder, just that he spanked her. I think your making this all up because the alleged victim is your friend. Can't wait until the truth comes out about your friend!

Michelle get a life! How many times are you going to post under different names from "Longwood"? You are so pathetic! No wonder...oh I won't go there!
Maroney didn't do **** in Ocoee but sit around the station and kiss ****. Let's check how many arrests he made in his "outstanding" career in Ocoee. Can't arrest too many criminals in the station. Citizen's Police Academy...oh how wonderful! He didn't think of that. Other agencies have been doing that for years. And I'm not surprised you encourage him to file a frivolous lawsuit. Isn't that what you did? Lost and then lied about it didn't you??? Where's your millions ****?
I'm not Michelle - we have the same internet provider that is why it shows up under longwood. I don't even know the girl. I'm better friends with Maroney's wife K. However, I've known Tom a long time and see a lot of injustice in the whole situation. His only crime really was against his wife. I have seen all the work he has done for Ocoee and it is not fair that they turn their back on someone who has given so much of his time to the city. Ocoee PD has no loyalty to its own - what a shame. He should sue - it was wrongful termination and they know it. They wanted to make Tom an example but all it will do is cost the city a bundle.

He hasn't done crap for Ocoee and everyone knows it. When he made the decision to get drunk and disgrace everyone who wears an Ocoee badge he also made the decision to lose the loyalty of the PD.

When you make the statement that his only crime was against his wife you show your ignorance.

He is a criminal, and time will prove that OPD for once made the right decision.

And you ARE Michelle.

Ok, you got me I'm Michelle (seems like a nice enough girl). I kind of like the name. Anyways, I don't know what your so upset about - Tom will never work as a cop again. He lost his career, home, wife pretty much everything important to him just because some girl made an accusation. Why do you believe her over Tom? Anyone can say anything and it doesn't make it true. You know this since your obviously an ocoee cop. What if this happened to you? I hope you never get accused falsely of anything because ocoee PD does not have your back. This girl is no "victim" - it cracks me up that she went and got a lawyer right away. Wonder what she wants out of it? I'll be interested to see how this all plays out and I think you may be disappointed in your assumptions!
