Ochelata Building Set On Fire

i spent every summer growing up at my grandparents house in ochelata.
they need to throw the book at what im sure will be some dumb teen punk who just moved there because his parents now work at the walmart warehouse.
i remember seeing the place as we walked by from the park to the soda shop or the gas station.town used to be a great place to just slow down and enjoy the things around you.

My parents are celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary this week and the Moon Glow Hut is where they had their first dance when they were dating.

We used to go to the Moon Glo Hut on Saturday night and dance the box step to Kenny Martin's band....I cant remember their name....but he played a mean guitar...Heehee....It was kind of a tiny place but we had so much fun...I think the Tulsa World reported a fire in Ramona also not long ago...So sad...I have very fond memories of Ramona, Ochelata and Vera...I hope they catch who's doing this...

This is so sad and so annoying! I am familiar with Ochelata and the small towns around it and they are such cute and nice country towns that I wish that I could have grown up in instead of Los Angeles. I am so sorry to all of the people who live there. And yes, I so hope that they catch this person as well.

Its so ironic that in January is when they used to have the Fireman's Ball, which was THE fundraiser for our volunteer fire dept. That place was packed. It was before liquor by the drink, so it was BYOL, not yet a bar. People really did come from all around. It was a skating rink before that. I guess The Moonglow Hut went out in a blaze of glory.

totally discusting! ochelata has had some real problems last year as well at the Foster's store just across the street from the Moonglow - which btw is the owner of both buildings. there will be more to come out of this as i know folks that live there and informed me of other information, but i won't post it because it could hinder the investigation right now. this an ongoing problem that needs to be stopped. the town has no police and rely on the county police to respond, so it makes it even more difficult to find the culprit/s. What a loss of history and what a pathetic loser/s that needs to be off the street. let's all pray that this sickening crime will be solved.
