Many oklahomans are out of work and our elected officials are spending our tax dollars on the arts. While I do appreciate the arts and their importance in our world, this is not the time to be concerned about their survival. How many oklahomans even attend or could afford to attend operas and such even during good times. I beleive our state government really blew this one. Why not put the money where it could do the most good for the general public rather than a few monied individuals so they will have some place to go Friday nights?

Seriously? Does everyone realize that all the "stimulus" money is being borrowed from foreign countries? This is absolutely ludicrous! We are borrowing money from communist countries and spending it on things besides tangible infrastructure?? We deserve to be slaves to our government and to have our life's savings stolen through inflation. The buying power of the US Dollar is quickly eroding....cost of living and cost of goods will be rising to match our borrowing/debt!

Its not just monied people, many times Tulsa opera has provided schoool students and others an opprotunity to hear opera for the first time. Arts impact to Oklahoma is a big chunk of of money that i'm sure many oklahomans don't realize. Arts is a worldy item that Americans should treasure. Think about a a world with out music how dry a life that would be.
Not for me
Thanks

I like the Arts too, I just don't want my kids and grandkids to have to pay for frivolity. The current Administration is/has bancrupted this Country. Be VERY afraid.

The CURRENT Administration is just cleaning up the messes left by the last administration. So--turn off your A.M radio!!!
I will agree, the stimulus money should NEVER be used in this manner.

the terrorist who attacked our Soldiers at Ft. Hood was a member of Obama’s transition team. He was a member of the Homeland Security Policy Institute. It’s on page 32 of the Obama Transition Team documents.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
