Third arrest in Oceanside brawl -

the "oceanside 8"

Not that I like to see a group of 18 years old being arrested but lets call it like it is... Karma. They walked around acting as if they got away with the assault of two other people and like they weren't at any fault. Well we all knew the truth. Thats what happens when your friends run their mouths and tell the truth to other ppl. Yep thats right all thier friends told other ppl what really went down and that they (oceanside)were going to kick ass.
What goes around comes around!

..if an example of these kids both sides is made... maybe all the rest of the punks and haters who want to start this crap wil get the message ... we dont want it here in oceanside or anyplace else...

First of all newsday got this info from the black defendants attorney. If the paper had done a little research on the issue they would have figured out the real story. Which is that these kids only 17, were defending themselves from a black man much bigger than any of them who had broke a bottle over one of the young white males faces. Proceeding to cause permenant nerve damage and scarring to this individuals face. To say that this crime was racially motivated is obsurd and the paper should learn to write the truth about things and not things that will sell papers.

If anybody watches the video of the fight they will notice that the large black male proceeds outside after about thirty seconds. Little do they know that he goes outside to retrieve a beer bottle which he had been drinking. He then hits 2 people with the bottle breaking it over a young white males face. The young males then proceed to take him down and defend themselves. The second black male which is dressed in all red alledging to be a gang member approaches one of the white males who proceeds to take him to the floor only defending himself. For them to be arrested is rediculous. Neither of the black males were injured in the fight only the white males.

Does a Black person ever get arrested for racial slurs? I guess they can say what they want and of course they can't be racist because they're black. Sounds to me like another scapegoat and the D.A. succumbed to political pressure from a bunch of useless black law enforcement scum who hide behind their so called badges. How about all those violent robberies the blacks commit on whites and laugh about it and call the whites Cracker amongst other names when they rob them. Never seems to get attention.

Are you actually defending these posers? Look at their clothes in the security vid. I bet the only reason they threw out slurs was because they honestly think they are black. It was probably more like "What's up my -----"

It aggravates me to see when a black person gets beat up by whom-ever, its "RACIAL" but when a white person gets beat up its just a "fight". I am so sick and tired of everything involving a black person becomes a "RACIAL" issue. Unfortunately politics plays a part and they bow down and won't fight for the white people.

Newsday disclosed the race of the people involved. Holy crapballs. Newsday is almost a real paper now.

watch the surveillance tape of the incident involving the "oceanside 8" and you will see that they clearly instigated this fight, and yes i am white, but those boys were wrong and should be punished.

i think you should watch the tape again, you left out a few parts like when one of the white kids picked up a chair and attacked one of the black kids with it, THEN the black kid went out and came back in with a bottle to defend themselves.
if you read the police reports and watch the surveillance tape, you will see what happened.

Fights like this happen all the time. I went to LB High and when I was a freshman there was a race riot. I guess these things happen when your young... until you grow up and realize everyone needs to get along in society. Hopefully everyone learns from this event. :)

If the black "kid" went out. Why did he have to come back in to defend himself?
