i am not saying that any person mentioned in the post above are not deserving...i don't know them all! just be nice! don't you think that todd lusk would be embarassed now if he did get inducted because of you guys making such a fuss! the todd lusk i remember was kind/compassionate/and showed the "love of god" he wouldn't want you guys doing this! very good post, i was not knocking the organization, but at times it does seem to be biased against people who work or volunteer in the communities when it is sports oriented...all there is in oceana, is family, church, school, and sports. any person who is involved in those 4 areas of our community in my book are worthy indidviduals. i thought it was a combination of high school, college, and professional attributes??? those that have been inducted are very worthy indeed, i admire them, some more than others. a sports hall of fame would be great to add also. i love ohs and all the time i spent there!

I know for a fact my brother sent the papers back in the first time and it was rejected for not having the required criteria. Todd is a humble man and having to fill out a paper bragging on his accomplishments is just not him. Send the papers to me and I will be honored to fill out the papers for my brother. He is as deserving as anybody. He has taken in two youths in his community and has givne them a home to finish there high school career. He is more than just basketball. He is a great father, husband, brother, and son. I am proud to be Todd Lusk's brother and I knwo for a fact that he did send the first paper back in.

disagree somewhat with Hall of Famer-5 years later- Unfortunately it seems that the only people nominated to the OHS Hall of Fame are the ex-atheletes and/or alumni that chose to remain in Oceana. They often obviously self-nominate just like they did in high school. Its sad because there are many OHS alumni that have suceeded in life, pay taxes, obey the law, raised healthy families, worship God, and are proud OHS alumni whom moved out of Oceana or in fact the state to succeed in life and make a living.They perform duties everyday in the communities they live in..most do this because of the way they were "raised" and taught at OHS and Oceana at least back in the old era 30's and 80's. These alumni should be recognized/considered! and the guy that this article is titled with-good athelete, not much of kind/compassinate God loving person that I remember..he was def. over-rated in this department.

The Oceana Hall Of Shame. It is a farce. They have sent papers to several wholesome people and then rejected them. I know that for a fact. Look at some they put in. Take Mike Brinik. Weren't he a great specimine of a Hall of Shamer? These peple who run this group are people who have power problems. Like they were probably nothings when they were in high school and in life. Now they like to flex what little muscle they think they have. The main word in that last sentence was think.

Best thing to do is for the ppl to start your own Hall of Fame,no 1 can stop you.They try and keep the little man down,the everyday Joe but it only makes the so called Big Shots of Oceana look like idiots.I went to school with Lori and I personally can't remember anything she did.It is OHS not post OHS.It should be for when you were in school ,what you did not after.If you going to do that lets put Spunk in there ,he gave a lot of you ppl something to talk about.

Don't be hatin on da Pope or you wont get yo 100 Hail Marys.Almost every1 in it is in a special click.What the heck has Shirley Stewart done to get in except be a professional student.Why is Clay Morgan or Dr.Freddy Morgan not in it,they have done a lot more for the school than 3/4s of the ppl on the list.Dennis Moore and Elizabeth Lugar got in because of their family names.Where is Ivan Cole or the Whitten boys ,they all did a lot to put OHS on the map.

I think Shelly Webb should be in this NOW, she has single handed entertained this town and any former classmate for months. I was in NC recently and ran into someone I went to school with and he said" and I quote " what is with that Webb chick, she nuts or what? " LMAO. How about putting the hookers in too,they do more of a service than most the ppl on the list.What I am getting at is most of these ppl did nothing while in School,HOF for OHS should be what you did while in school not after school,if so every person who went to OHS and served in the military should be on this list.
