what has happened to our town???

I am here visiting family over the weekend. I have such wondeful memories of Oceana growing up here. People were kind and trustworthy. It was a great place to grow up. It really saddens me that our small town America is now owned and controlled by addiction. Even reading the topix posts demonstrates how vindictive and mean sprited people have become. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being judgemental, after all, this is where my roots were laid, it is just so sad. i wish something could be done, but I now realize how big the battle is and bad we are losing it. :o(

Wrong people runing it

I wouldn't feel safe in any of the surrounding counties, least of all in Wyoming County. I can only imagine what the families of the ones who are missing are going through. Wyoming was once a fun place to hang out in, especially in Oceana and sometimes on Huff Creek. I hope that nightmare is over soon, so everyone can breathe a little easier. Maybe once this case is wrapped up, things will get better but it will still never be the same. I don't think anyone will ever feel as safe as they once did either. The events that have taken place will leave the area of Matheny with a stigma attached to it forever.
