Judged: 3 1 Palazzo is not a conservative, he is a tea party libertarian & a pro-war party robot who does whatever his bosses in Washington tell him to do. Our regional interests come in 2nd place with him. Last year Ingalls was supposed to get a massive contract & he let it slip out of committee because he didn't want his fellow tea party people in congress to make it look like he was pro-spending. After Ingalls & locals & Gene's former staffers raised hell, he managed to get a portion of the contract restored, but not the whole thing. All that aside I highly doubt we can get him out office. The people who elected him were the people to our north in the Hattiesburg/Laurel/pine belt region who don't share our interests or values. He's probably going to win another term & I really don't think Gene's gonna run again. He's in his 60s & he seems like he's happy with his pension & his current job as a lobbyist. I called them once about getting funding for NASA so Stennis could get some work. His aide in Gulfport gave me the run-around 'hey thanks for calling we definitely want work.' And then he went on telling me what a good job Palazzo is doing without really giving me results. Just talk & ideas. Palazzo doesnt have the sway or the power to get us any contracts & our senators are either about to retire(Cochran) or they care only about north Mississippi(Wicker). If you care about the coast you'll either vote Palazzo out or keep calling his office trying to get some jobs rolling out down here. Because things aren't going so well here. |

Judged: 2 1 1 Perhaps you care to list your name and number so I can forward it to his office so he can personally respond to your issues and concerns. In case you haven't heard he's also been rated as one of the most conservative congressman in America by the ACU. Why don't you visit his website and learn a little more about him and the work he has done. If your from South Mississippi and not some RHINO or progressive liberal then he's your guy for now and for ever. Otherwise you can keep voting for Obama and whining about the great things he is doing to protect America's legacy of exceptionalism. |

Judged: 3 2 2 Name one piece of legislation that he is known for introducing and guiding through congress. What he is more known for is trying to set up a sham accounting operation in Mississippi for his wife. Tell me when and where is his next town hall meeting that he so successfully used against Gene Taylor. I will certainly be there to question him. Two things stand out about your post: First, the acronym is RINO and second the DC address gives the whole thing away. What are you? Some flunky on Palazzo's staff or just a political groupie? It appears that you too are hiding in the world of anonymity. Give up your name and position and with your "Patriot" nom de guerre tell us if you are an active duty military veteran and the dates you served. |

Judged: 2 2 You know I was never a huge worshiper of Gene like some were. And I agree he was a career politician but even then he brought results. That's why I'm still kinda stunned he lost. It was only after I found out that the ppl in Hattiesburg/Laurel were the reason Palazzo one that I went crazy about it. I honestly wanted to give Palazzo a chance. I wanted to be fair. But after a year & a half he's a total boob who knows how to do nothing save flounder about on his six-figure salary while we lose jobs on the coast or our hours get reduced. He seems to care more about what the ACU(as Mr. Patriot wants to refer to) thinks & what the party brass & tea party idiots care about rather than what his constituents care about. I thought Gene was gonna run again this yr & was shocked when he did not. The thing that took the cake on Palazzo was when he floundered on that Ingalls contract last year & lost I think it was 50 million worth of the contract --@ least a few hundred jobs. I guess we could do worse but when these ppl are more worried about 'fighting terrorism'(which is a joke, terrorism is a tactic as Pat Buchanan, a right-winger, pointed out -- how do you fight a tactic -- it makes no sense)-- but when they put fighting terrorism over getting jobs for us down here then we know we're in trouble. I was reading the newspaper today & they said that state gaming revenues are now @ 1998 levels & we still haven't recovered to 2007 levels, when gaming revenues on the coast peaked. And they're building NEW casinos even while the pie keeps shrinking meaning fewer jobs across the board. I dunno man, I lived on the coast for a really long time but things are truly turning for the worse down here. I don't have enough money to move as I'm on a budget right now but if & when somehow I get an infusion in cash I'm jumping @ the opportunity to leave the state. Probably go to Texas or to Atlanta. That's where all the jobs are leaving to. There isn't much left in this state besides a dwindling population of military people, blacks who usually are on welfare, sell drugs, or work service jobs, a few Mexicans, a bunch of rednecks, & a few tourists who keep the area afloat. If you get a chance to leave Orville -- do so. In another 10 years you won't be able to recognize this region. Just had 2 friends leave in the past year, one moved back to Atlanta & the other joined the military. Good luck to you, too bad Captain Patriot can't see the light, he probably works for Palazzo & thus speaks out against the same govt who probably writes his paychecks....oh the irony. |

I am voting Moore in the Nov. election!! This guy is passionate and seems to be really for THE PEOPLE!! Fire Palazzo!!!
|
|

Then tell your hero to call Matt Moore, the Democratic Candidate for MS's 4th Congressional District, and accept his challenge to a debate! Rather than cowering behind his always vacant campaign office. Ironic how you comment about whining, whilst you we break out the cheese for yours!

Judged: 1 1 1 Congressman Palazzo: The attached response to my inquiry of three days ago is one of the primary reasons the American people absolutely despise our congress. It sounds more like an Obama response than a conservative response. It is carefully crafted to say nothing using too many words. It reads like it was a one touch operation whereby the “policy expert”, probably a twenty year old staffer simply touched a button, pulled up the boilerplate, filled in my name and address, used your franking privilege and patted him/herself on the back for a fine piece of work and touched the send button. I am so frustrated with this type response from my elected officials that I am actually considering organizing a “Seniors Against Palazzo” drive for 2014. I reluctantly voted for you in the past election but if I don’t see improvement in your communication with constituents i.e., telling the unvarnished truth and upholding conservative principles I will actively join the opposition campaign. I’ll make it simple for you, please answer the following questions with a yes or no response: 1. Do you support Speaker Boehner’s actions in the “fiscal cliff” negotiations? 2. Do you support changes to current laws on gun control? If so what are they? 3. Will you introduce and support a bill banning baseline budgeting? I've yet to receive a response and doubt that I will. He has become the consummate Washington insider and his constituents are not important to his personal agenda. If I do not see a dramatic improvement in his commitment to his constituency I may really try to organize a defeat Palazzo movement for 2014. I will post on this blog any response I receive fro the Congressman. |

Just a follow-up on our Mississippi delegation. Both Cochran and Wicker voted for Obama's fiscal cliff deal. Two more RINOs to vote against. Now lets see what Palazzo does with the house vote.

Palazzo voted no but I doubt he knows why.

Judged: 1 When Gene voted on any bill, you KNEW his position was in complete support of what was best for south Mississippi -Gene probably had less party loyalty than anyone up there, whereas Palazzo is just another mouthpiece for the republican party line In short, Palazzo is just another part of the problem - He's sure not part of a solution to anything |
