Ocean Springs aldermen and mayor not to get automatic pay increases

The mayor and board of aldermen will forgo receiving an automatic 3 percent pay raise that would have started July 1. "I would like to see us pass on our 3 percent raise until we can give the employees a raise," said alderman Bobby Cox when he made the motion.

The other "full Time" city employees have taken notice to your willingness to think about them before yourselves. It is a shame that the leader of our city, Connie Moran is more interested in how it is going to hurt her pocketbook. I guess we are seeing who she really cares about.
