Pilot says engine failed before plane hit Ocean Ridge town hall

Time to seriously crack down on the pilots and safety of these small planes. Hardly a week goes by without one crashing somewhere. They are mostly used as toys by the rich, and clog up the airspace.

I'd like the pilot to explain why he has such a far-from-respectable driving record.

I wasn't in the plane so I don't know what kind of failure he was dealing with, but I do know that some have said he should have been able to make it to an airport with one working engine out of two.(That makes sense, as I've read of plenty of engine-outs in twins that did not result in crashes.)

As for "Captain Kirk," the idiot who wants to "crack down on pilots," only a moron would try to assert that small aircraft are a significant danger to the public. You claim that every week we read about another, which is bullcrap to start with. Then even if it was true that there was a crash a week, HOW MANY DEVASTATING ~CAR CRASHES~ HAPPEN EVERY WEEK? Are you going after the idiots who cause THEM?!
