I agree. I'd like to see it taken a bit farther. I wonder how much the politician has invested in the development ? Where is it written that every vacant piece of land must be developed ?

I'd like to see any commercial property that is less than 60% occupied for over a year be torn down and the developer/owner get nothing (I also wonder how much the politician would lose in this). Maybe then we'd see development where needed and not just "because". If there was so much demand, then why is there so much empty commercial real estate ?

...they tried! over and over again to close this den of disease and drugs...they did two raids, they made arrests they were out there every week for something whether it be dope, prostitutes, fights shootings and on and on the cops and mayor fought hard to close this craphouse the dept of alchol, firearms and tobbaco and explosives tried its damnest to pull his liqour license and shut him down, there were threats, NOTHING WORKED1 Why did nothing work because this old predator scumbag Goddard had sleazy shyster lawyers filing every legal motion there was to stay open and the courts allowed it, his attorneys unethical shyster's than that they are kept that place open not the people cops or mayor or commishes.

bet the lawyers never stepped foot in there thru in that dirty diseased bar or lived by it. lets just be thankful the lawyers finally failed, this creep-ass is going to jail, hopefully his whorres will head for the hills and the drug problem around there will decrease. your sooo correct....gov't has no business backing this developer..or any other.. in this climate when developers are going bankrupt..what guarantee do the taxpayers get...and add insult to injury...wanting to increase our taxes...stop the insanity.
