This is tragic and the violent death of any young person is a devastating thing but the pending investigation into the actions and the cause of this accident will uncover some bad stuff and the driver should be held accountable for making very bad choices, breaking the law on MANY levels and being responsible for the taking of a life and injuring others as well.
Police officers think they are above the law and can break the law without any consequences and the career he had and the often aggressive and underhanded way he went about it is proof in the eyes of many Green Newton and Andover residents and this terrible and ugly accident shows again the attitude and mindset of many individuals who are in law enforcement. Speeding, drugs, alcohol AND arrogance are a terrible combination in any situation!!!
This is very tragically sad and absolutely difficult for these families but this is a very important and strong message for ANYONE not just police officers!! This is something i tell and preach to my own children that in life you are occasionally responsible for others and that responsibility can never be taken lightly!! And with drugs and alcohol and an air of "i can do what i want" will only lead to a deadly outcome when these deadly combination's are woven into your daily life and your job!! Unfortunately this led to a horribly sad accident that can not be undone!! The "higher power" of law enforcement must put a stop to these types of personalities that enter the police force!! Obviously the psychological portion of the application and interviewing process is missing something!! God bless these families!!
