Prosecutor plans to witness Muhammad execution

If all goes as planned, Prince William County Commonwealth's Attorney Paul Ebert - known for putting more men on death row than any other prosecutor in Virginia - will witness his first execution tonight.

I might be wrong here, but I thought that the prosecutor, defense attorney, and a few other people HAD to witness the execution, no choice about it?

Do you really want to see someone die? Although it was warranted in this case.
