DUI checkpoint to honor boy killed in 1997

Marion County deputies will conduct a safety check to look for intoxicated motorists tonight in memory of a 13-year-old Ocala boy killed by a drunken driver 10 years ago.

See that's what is F@#$%^ up with the courts. The guy kills someone being DUI, flees and then gets a charge dropped. After that he is only sentenced to 5 years and serves 3. Come on.

This is RIDCULOUS, fleas, doesnt get put in prison until 2 years later, and only serves partial term for being drunk and not only hitting someone, but dragging them by your car for 30 FEET, I hope this man gets ridiculled the rest of his life.

Don't like gain time? Then stop whining about tax cuts! The less taxes you pay, the fewer beds and corrections officers are available in the jails and the less time is served-- You can't have it both ways!
