The Judge- honorable Mr Bennett was aware of waht was going on the whole time,,,, and helped her figure out her strategy...that is how Livingston Parish works...home of the KKK- still working and still active...........the victim's mom was a member also...why do you think they covered for her so well...check the record....

Charlotte Hughes Herbert was given a cassette tape by EBR Sheriffs Office at the time that LIV parish DA went and claimed the case from EBR. At a later date, the ADA Herbert denied having this cassette (and the contents thereof along with other evidence that she obtained from EBR parish sheriff's detective office,) lying to the Judge in open court about the cassette and it's contents in order to get the ruling she wanted. She knew if the info on the tape was exposed at the time would interfere with her getting the Confession of Gerald Bordelon on the record. There was no other reason for this action. Even though Gerald's defense attorney's asked her several times for the cassette and it's contents along with other info from EBR, she still withheld it from the defense. She was very calculating and did not have any ethical respect for what the law states about discovery issues.
During the trial when it was convenient and beneficial for her to expose the same cassette and it's contents she did so. Again, very calculating and also exposed her own lies and errors. She has no ethical values, she broke her oath to uphold the law. Judge Bennett cooperated with her. The Judge did not call her on the fact that she had stated in the closing arguements of the suppression hearings that,"He would never know what Cindy Landry told her brother during their twenty minute conversation (which the FBI set up.)" During the trial she procedded to ask Cindy Landry about the same exact conversation on the cassette---quoting the cassette she had withheld and denied having to the Judge. How she can live with herself by putting someone to death while having done so in an illegal fashion is beyond me. God in Heaven knows exactly what was done, and she could have easily convicted Gerald Bordelon in a legal fashion without having lied to Judge Bennett. She knows she shot herself in the foot by doing so, and it will one day come back to haught her, the Judge, and Scott Perrilloux for allowing that to happen. There is no reason to use illegal tactics to put someone to death, yet Livingston Parish doesn't even know any other way to conduct themselves. Just like Jefferson Davis Parish- corruption prevails.

For the LASC to rule there was no prejudice, nor arbitrary factors in sentencing Gerald to death is not true. There was many prejudices involved inthe case including Wayne Stewart being paid to keep his mouth shut in court and not cross examine witnesses to get the truth told. He was paid to loose the case by McIntyre. It was all political from the very instance Gerald was arrested. By God as my witness.

Regarding the case of Gerald Bordelon, LCAC had asked to see the records of ADA Charlotte Herbert whom prosecuted the case and she refused, and they had to file a WRIT of MINDAMUS against DA Scott Perrilloux (in Ferderal Court) in order for a Federal Judge to force ADA Charlotte Herbert to come up with the case files.

GREENLEE TESTIFIES AFTER BORDELON DEATH VERDICT-PICOU SUBPOENA FOR HEARING ON SENTENCING DAY The Livingston Death Sentence for Gerald Bordelon included a hearing on why the Court got a fax indicating counsel were not death certified. Greenlee testified to a call from CAP Director Picou and thought the Judge might want to know. The Judge held a hearing and found capital certification immaterial.........

The Judge did say he was unconcerned with the Attorney's qualifications because he found them certified himself, although they were behind on some of the required classes, especially Wayne Stewart who felt it was obsurd that he had to take classes to be up-to-date on certification to try DP cases. Seems The Judge and the PD's Chief Officer McIntyre would have checked on certifications before hiring attorney's to represent a capital defendant.

Stewart was livid about anyone questioning his abilities, although immediately after the trial, he stated that he only got on 10% of his defense.

Perrilloux never said much about anything except that he had given an interview with the HAMMOND STAR concerning another Judge's opinions on Funding Capital Cases when a hearing was called due to the lack of funding provided for Bordelon became a legal issue.

You'll be in a better position to get on well with someone who has power or authority over you. This might be your boss, some other authority figure, a friend you really respect or an older relative. Maybe you should chat up your superiors at the office Christmas party... or make more of an effort to understand what makes a certain person tick.
