My Grandfather,Uncle George, my Mom, and my Aunts and uncles all cherished that building. They grew up with that building my mom told me. Everyone's very upset. My poor Grandfather who's under enough physical ailment is probaly beside himself. I remember as a child going to that building with my cousin Crystal playing over there. It was a fun place for me and my cousin to hang out at. Their were alot of memorys there for everyone. Everyone is in shock, and very distraught about that horrible event. How can something so precious and loved by my Grandfather and his loving children happen like this? The way the world works, and the unfortunate events that happen to the wrong people.

I have only lived in Collingswood for 2 years and my friend lives in Oaklyn. I paased the site of the fire pretty much every week. The 'Terminal' sign always looked cool and you could tell it was a local monument. I will miss seeing it there and am sorry for all who lost their heritage in the fire.

My grandfather and father worked long hard years to keep the business alive. A lifetime of memories and hard work is lost in that fire...just as Danielle posted, my cousins and I all played in that building and have great fun memories! Not only are there memories of my family working there, but memories of the dedicated employee's that worked there as long as I can remember. The building may be gone but no one can take away the memories it left behind.

....my heart goes out to you...Oaklyn didn't make it easy, I know. I attended the meetings when the temporary business permits were attained, and township officials were unhappy. They not only made this a costly endeavor, but they changed the streetscape--so that temporary parking would be problematic, too. It seems awfully coincidental that it burns down just days after the hearing for a permanent business license.

I just have to say that this is such a tragedy for the entire Hamilton Family. My heart and prayers go out to all of them. They are a strong family and will get through this!

I am an Oaklyn Firefighter who was at the scene...it is awful to see a building disappear that I've walked by everyday since I was 5.
