It's their country. American's don't have a right to go into Canada if the Canadians don't want them there. It's a privilege to enter a foreign country. They probably suspected she'd go to Canada and work for the people she was visiting as a babysitter or a housekeeper. She should get a job and stop whining to the newspaper.

What exactly did she bring as proof of citizenship? A gas bill isn't going to cut it. Just like Canadians need a government issued passport to enter the US, even though NAFTA asserts that a drivers' license is sufficient, Americans should do the same.
Bringing a scrapbook of paperwork doesn't help if those papers don't include 1) Proof of citizenship 2) Notarized child custody and permission to travel documentation

Why is she using American tax dollars to go on vacation?
It makes me laugh, she has time to complain and file a complaint (which takes time) but cant find enough time to look for work and support her children??
