I agree with YEAH and i live in this so called community he serves. He's a crook, a liar and he's brought more problems to the community than he's solved. People in glasgow must have double the IQ of people in edmonson county.

Ok if he;s such a good guy and he's not guilty then why give training courses or permits. Why not give permits to anyone who wants them including minors or school kids then set back and watch what happens. After all training or permits are not important.

Everyone that knows much of anything about him all the way back to his State Polce days knows he has always been VERY shady. Check about bringing guns back from overseas and getting the choice of leaving the State Police or being fired. He has sold several of these carry conceals, what about the house fire in the past. That seemed pretty shady when it was reported by WBKO. Check on some other family members, the apple did not fall too far from the tree. Edmonson Co. deserves good effective law enforcement but it should start with getting rid of a SHADY INEFFECTIVE SHERIFF first.

Oh and by the way the former Hart Co. sheriff got some justice, put in jail where he belongs maybe him an B.J. could swap stories. Nothing worse than a dirty two face who HIDES behind a badge or star or any other symbol, if a cop is dirty sentence should be GREATLY ENHANCED.

I dont know why people who dont live here even have an opinion. But, BJ is a good sheriff and there is no way that he can please everybody. I am sitting here now with someone who has taken his class and all we are talking about is a few people not shooting at a paper plate 12 feet from them...What kind of idiots there are in the world. The nation should be ashamed of itself to be spending money prosecuting a good man instead of helping to stop something important. And I do live int he county.

just curious

It is a LITTLE thing called the LAW and B.J. has always tried and a lot of times wiggle around it. Then there is this LITTLE thing called the Grand Jury and they get to hear all this proof when people break the LAW. For some reason the Sheriff should OBEY the Law instead of thinking he is above it, but when they hear the proof then you get these multiple INDICTMENTS and the star should not keep his A** out of jail. The ex Hart Co. Sheriff is going to jail because he is dirty and B.J. is no better. The system is suppose to be for everyone and even moreso when you HIDE behind a BADGE and snub everyone with this I'm better than you attitude.

Dont they always hang together (bad and bad) this way they keep each up pumped up and make believe that everything they do or have done is either right or people are just out to get the. Amazing they never seem to see that they are the ones screwed up.

Okay, I am from Edmonson Cty and I personally think we have never had a sheriff that hasn't been shady in one way or another! I don't think BJ is a bad person. I think he would do anything to help someone out if they needed it. Let's not judge before the trial. I think in order for Edmonson Cty to ever get it's drug problem, and various other problems under control we are gonna have to get someone in there that is not afraid of other citizens. I mean I have known of people being ran out of the cty just because of their race...and people wonder why we have a bad rep. Come on people it's the 21st century.
I think BJ has done some good for our cty and I also think that he turned the cheek as well. So I just want to see "justice" fairly, and I would like to see a good sheriff who will not let their friends pressure them into looking the other way!

I have just found this web site and I find it to be quite amuzing. The number of post that are on here, and the attention that this case is getting, but did anyone ever consider the fact that there are about 50 others that are being investagaited for the same thing as well? Nope, until you do some searching on this you do not. I happen to live in Edmonson County and raise my children here, I happen to care what happens here so when I hear something I go searching. It is a choice that you make, you live in a friendly, homely town. I wonder why no one has heard of the other 50, maybe because they are not the sheriff, or some other county offical. How many other "county officials" have held, or is holding an "illegal" permit? They knew and know it is just as wrong, shouldn't they be punished as well? But hey, lets just slam the sheriff, he committed the crime first correct,it would be much eaiser! We all forget that "justice" is servered on a First Come First serve basis!! I think that it pays in the long run to get the whole story, it would make more sense to comment on somthing when you know fully!

I've known BJ since the late seventies. All in all he's a good guy not perfect, but good. It takes a Sheriff a little ruff around the edges sometimes, and not being scared when things get ruff. So what he brought back some fire arms from Iraq, he kill anybody with them here??? Vets always bring back stuff. They deserve it, they was fighting for your rights to have free speech, so you onle come back to bash them..So what he cut some firearms classes short, teacher ever do that in any course you had. Of course they have. Ever have a any law enforcement pull you over for speeding, and leting you go? Did he break the law ??? We wouldn't have anybody to protect us if he all sent them to jail. Sometimes people just can't see the big picture.

Any one that think's Billy Jo, is a good law enforcement officer, is in bad shape. He has been no good from his day's as a state cop. I use to live there when he was Park City's answer to Barney. His house did'nt burn down from natural cause's, it was at the hand of big Billy Jo. He has had more extra marital affair's than Liz Taylor has had husband's. Any one can put a good face up front, look beneath his face and you will see a dirty cop and man.

Of all these comments, I'd say bout 95% are negative reflections on BJ. Now, the ones that wrote all this crap, and that do not live in the county should realize that he is just a pawn. He may not have upheld the law as it was written, but show me someone that has 100%...You can't!! Every political official out there has something to hide. Do you think for one minute the city of Bville will put someone in office that won't take advantage of the system. I think not. There is a rather wealthy man that has a certain legal practice in Brownsville. I don't see anyone beating on him and he has a hand in most illegal activities around. BJ screwed up...ok, but dig deeper and you'll find bigger players than BJ.
