I wonder if we will have to pay for this grant like we are paying for the storm water project grant. I will have my water disconnected and use well water if my bill goes up anymore. We all need to stand up and not allow them to keep raising our bills. We are the reason they are making money. Without the consumer they'd have nothing. If everyone decided to go to well water where would that leave the town?

I wish you would come to the town meetings. Very few people show up at these meetings and know how the board interprets this? they're doing a bang up job because no one's complaining! they don't want to listen and more ...they don't give a rat's butt what we think. Where would Shelburn be without the water system? far better off and less in debt.Whatever would we talk about at the board meetings??? The board has a meeting before the meeting one you can read about in the paper but it's not the one residents sit in on.

I'm sure it wouldn't matter if the whole town showed up. They are in charge and will continue to screw us. While they are building new homes and driving new cars we will still be struggling to make it day by day.

the storm water project has done nothing to help the standing water situation.. I had over 4 inches of standing water on my property and 2 inches in my garage tuesday and wednesday yet I pay $41.50 a month just for storm water plus my water bill. i don't even have a water meter or water on one property that I pay $31.50 month. This project as usual has not worked. Drive around town and see that some people have cut trenches in their yards just to get them to drain yet the big grant we got has not done its job......Imagine that
You are right!!!!! We should all be refunded. If something doesn't work you get your money back right? They never do anything right around here. They half ass everything then wonder why people are mad about paying out the ass for their screw ups. I'd say our town board is a little corupt.....

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Libra

Believe it or not, 2010 is almost round the corner. Start thinking about what you want to achieve next year. If that means admitting defeat in some projects that you tried and failed to launch this year, then so be it. Mercury turns today in your house of endings, so confusion from the past may be resolved in coming weeks. Onwards and upwards!
