3 Smith Township officers face charges

i think our problem is the twp. should they let our cheif do his job. for one thing they dont want him getting credit for anything. and i feel they have a little problem with him being black. i am shooked that he is cheif in a small town like this twp. stop holding his hands . let them go so he can do his job.im sure the twp. had a lot to do on hiring the other police. way to go. now dont you guys look a little stupid. we cant even keep good police. and the twp. dont want to help anyone. unless your name is well know. people know what is said in the twp. closed meeting. things leak out. and if the town knew whats being said . i think the smith twp. guys would be walking out with their tail between their legs.if your a nobody. and you go to the meeting.and you ask for something that will help the place were you live. you cant get it.well all we need is a little help. in the area of cleaning up some homes. the trash is ungodly. and what comes from that is rats the size of cats. then you have crackhouses . and that bring people to your area that you dont know.and thats more crime.then you got to watch your home ,family and children. and with children . you always got to look out for them . the speeding is so bad. that a child will be badly hurt or killed. the twp. is awear of it all. they live in a safe place. they sleep at night. i dont know how . cause god dont like ugly. and its gona be on there hands when someone is dead. then see if they can sleep. people need to wake up. and get to the twp. meeting. i know some that go just like to come back and lie and cause trouble .. but there are good and bad. and for the ones that are good people. and want something for there familys and for their children. we can do it.its just bad when you have no back up. but if you stick together.and fight and fight hard. you can and will turn the circumstances around for the good people. the ones that dont mind looking out for the person down the road. or the peron next to you . you my not like everyone around you. and thats fine. you dont have to drink coffee with them. just a little respect goes along way.because it my be your house your family your child. that needs that extra hand or eye. and there are people other then the twp. that will help us. make a stand we need to be able to get a good night sleep. knowing our family and homes are safe.the twp. sure is sleeping good. but what goes around comes around. you can and will take back so you can live in peace. so come on people wake up. andwork toghter. and talk to the people around you.and there is always more willing to help. then there are not. and there is all ways our cheif. good job chief!!!!!!!! but if you need help there are people in washington pa. and other places that will help.

i agree this is a big mess

i neever seen a place like this. or should i say people. the crack houses are out there . and if you live near on. thats a lot of unwanted this that come with that. we also know of one were the drugies pick up there stuff. and the next thing you know see is a flash. you have to say was that a car. and people that have a dope house fact is not clean. it runs down the neighborhood. if you can get help. then it becomes a hood. i feel for you but dont give up. there are people that will lesson. maybe NOT SMITHTWP. and thats another story. there are neighbors that could be nice. and you have ungodly people were ever you go. you think they would want a safe place for there familys. but then again if kids are involed. live repeats it self. and thats sad. but there is so much thst the neighbors have to go through. i would get people toghter and fun there ---- out of town. hope no harm comes to no one. and the kids that are in your area is very unsafe. when its grab and go. at the candy store. good luck dont give up.and then they think its a joke. the was the police are going. or you have to worry about a drug deal gone bad. and that is another story. but they all should be put in jail. and if they have kids . they need live in jail. but realy they need god . but they will want him when there in a cell. take care and good luck

drug houses 1 there is so much danger 2 and so many strangers. that even the seller dont know. 3 after you cop, you just want out of there. so thats why cars go so fast. 4 and the ones that cop but dont have nothing. will look check out the hood to see whats up. 5 so you got to lock up you crib. 6 and at times it will get so bad. youll have to pack up the babys and grab your old ladys. its hell living close to a drug house. just stand up as a community. and run them the hell out of there. and now that we can get state boys in here . i would be calling for every little thing. and have the familys in that area. to walk the streets night and day. get the plate nnumber. build a case.you have a right for you and your family to feel safe. and the ones that deal it. and live like pig. are dirty pigs. and they think no one knows. and dont say something to them.cause you in the wrong to them. they smell there homes well you cant say home.cause it a house that got to be a pigpen. and stink. get out your signs .NO CRACK HOUSE HERE!!!!!!!!!what are they gona do call the police. what a joke. call the news out. get with it. and if they have kids. they need to be put under the jail.good luck.and stay safe. and press on.

To some these blogs may seem silly, but some people are really serious and frustated with the way they have to put up with lawbreakers and trouble makers in their area. And police and the twp. supervisors do absolutely nothing. Then you have the extremes where an officer is fed up with the bull.... too and takes action, but goes too far in the arrest of measures he or she takes in the apprehension of a potential perpetrator. Then the officer is arrested. Where is the justice? It is bad when police arrest innocent people or someone for petty reasons, but drug sellers and buyers get away with bringing more trash into a community where everyone has to live with them and their nastiness. And these police have embarrassed people who pay taxes to pay their salaries. The twp. and the police should be the embarrassed ones.

The phrase ( Let the chief do his job) is a joke. He knows about the misconduct and drugs. He needs to be replaced. But please not replaced by Joe he's just as bad.And Larry, they should be ashamed Hiring someone like that. 17 years ago. Our tax money has paid for nothing. If that's the best we can get then we do not need any police force.

I'm sick of hearing that the Police dept. and Supervisors didn't know what has been going on in the department. They really think that all of you Smith Township people are stupid. Show them that you aren't. Speak up. Everyone that has been mistreated. Let them know that they can't get away with this anymore.It's the Chiefs Job to know what is going on in this Township. AND HE Always KNEW what was going on.

I wonder how long it is going to take the District Attorney to get Larry, Joe and the Chief. The Chief warns people if thereis a drug probe. When are you people going to realize the Chief and Supervisors knew everything.

This is kind of off topic but...LEAVE!!! There are lots of places in this country that are clean and safe and prosperous - and where it doesn't snow. Here I check in on my old town news and the things I read are so scary. Why are you all still there? There's NO reason to stay in PA, unless you have sick parents to care for. You can pick up plane tickets for <$200 from just about anyplace in the country any time you want to visit anyone else. Doesn't seem like there's much left around there but desperation and corruption. Sorry if I offend anyone but it sure doesn't sound like it's nice there, the way it used to be.

In 1971 I packed myself up and got out of Dodge !
I would do it again in a heartbeat. I even left my widowed Mother behind, i her home on Rt. 18 ! I visited her frequently, and to avoid permanent residency there again,I returrned, sold her home and brought her to live with my family on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie.

Will Smith Twp. ever change ? Not in my lifetime, or yours either ! Can the residents expect a positive change in gov't ? Not as long as the "good 'ol boys" continue to run the show and keep a bind eye to potential problems.

Whiting must have been innocent a year ago when she was falsely arrested by Smith Police, I was looking at the Pa. Western Federal District Court to see case filings. I happen to see Whiting v Bonazza et al , Larry A. Bonazza, Amber Price, Gary Havelka, Smith Township, Burgettstown Borough. It looks like things aren't as good as Chief LaRue likes to pretend they are, They just like like to keep things quiet about what they did to that poor woman.
