My daughter was at Lake Shasta this past weekend, and lived. Three other college students a the children of other parents died. Yes, college kids never seem to learn that they are not invincible especially when drunk out of,their minds - drinking from 5am every day of a "fun" weekend. How was it possible for 50 houseboats to be lined up side by side on one side of the houseboat she was on and 50 or 60 on the other side - FILLED and probably OVERFILLED with drunk and very drunk college students without any controls ? Is their business so valued that there are no limits to the number of houseboats rented to college students on a given weekend? Are there no limits on the number of houseboats that can be tied up in the same area? How many more of our loved children need to die needlessly? I am sorry that I ws so naive that this would not be a fun weekend for everyone?
