Memorial for Ashley Paine

Does anyone else feel the same as I do? Don't you think its about time the tent, flowers, memorials, etc., were moved from the intersection where Ashley Paine was struck by the bus?

Definitely, it's becoming an eyesore. When I was by there yesterday afternoon, part of the tent was falling down. I think, in and of itself, it's presents a traffic safety hazard, reducing visibility at a major intersection. It's served its purpose, it is time for the family or City services to remove it.

i miss her soooo much. and i hope that they never put down that memorial. thru everytime i pass it i remember her.

I truly understand you missing her. Her death was such a tragedy. I could even understand a small granite monument being erected in her memory at the corner. There's more stuff there than is on her grave in the cemetery (as of last Friday night anyway). I just feel all the stuff needs to be moved to the cemetery now.

Thanks to the person(s) that removed the tent. There's a quite tasteful bench with an angel at the site now. It looks much better and should not be a distraction now.

I noticed one other thing. All the posters are from everywhere but Oak Ridge. What are you doing here outside collecting a paycheck?

No, at the present time I don't reside in Oak Ridge. I did live there for 30 years and my son went to Oak Ridge schools including Robertsville. I also still own a house in Oak Ridge. I drive by the memorial every day on my way to work. Your assumption of where I collect my paycheck isn't true. Ashley is buried in what looks like an old part of the cemetery. Facing the cemetery, it's over to the right where there are upright markers. It's a beautiful site. There are lots of trees there.

The burial site is in Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Bethel Valley Road.

listen to what you are saying i mean come on dont talk about pushing other peoples kids in front of a bus thats just uncalled for and i think that you all have more commen sence that this. this family needs our support they dont need our argueing and things like that i hope you all take this message and read it and take it in because this website is not on here to cus and all that other nonsense!!!

chelsea we go to school together and i miss her sooo much but you really have to stop!!! its not like you were her only FRIEND!!!! and you might need think bout what you say she had other BEST FRIENDS.... i mean when she was hit i was walking my dog.... i had just got home but i could have saved her!!! that day i was allowed to walk home with her..... but i didn't and very day i get hit with SOOO MUCH saddness... when she died i was not allowed to be alone for almost 2 weeks...i hung myself at one point in the 7th grade girls bathroom. i passed out and one of the teachers found me..... did you ever wonder why they did that whole suicide awareness thing at school the week she died..... your you weren't the only one who was hit hard by this....

Eeverybody that is sayin that we should take all her things down that we put there for her is rediculuse..we all miss her so muchh..of corse if you wernt friends with her you wouldnt understand..bubt from her friends family and her softball family(jesssie megan katherine lucinda makinzie makayla brooke samantha christina katherine and more) loved an love her..s oif corese we aree not goin to take it downn..we are trien to be strong for her family an everybody else,...so please dont say things if you dont know wut you are talkin about or how evernody else feels..

you kno what it should stay i was one of her best friends and it shouldnt madder to you wat we are doin with it since you dont know here an dont even live out here..so uts it madder to you..If somebody in ur family or one of your friends died you would do the same thing....
