I disagee. It seems like there are almost as many Gay People, in or out of the closet, as there are Straight People & getting to be more all the time. I've often wondered why because I do believe that Gays are born that way & again, I wonder what makes some of us Gay & some of us Straight. As far as I know, they've never tried to find out. I wish they would, simply because it's a mystery that I think needs to be solved. If some Straight People understood it better, maybe there wouldn't be so much controversy about it. Just my thoughts on the subject...
French studies have shown there is no difference in brain activities between the two. Numerous studies have been preformed. Many too technical to converse. Final results do not show they are born that way. It correlates into a self choice thinking. A choice within ones personal thought. There have always been gay, lesbians. But now it is accepted and more support their choice with fear of retributions.

it sounds like she hit a nerve....

are you perhaps in some desperate situation??

that is really, really, sane middle of the road advise.

leave a bad situation behind.

not the 'worst" advice.

There is a big difference with people today. That difference will clearly show in years to come. Those willing to accept change and use it to their advantage will prosper. Those unwilling. They will fall behind. The days of all carrying the weight for the ones that lack, are no more. Obama has accepted and wants change. Republicans do not. They are comfortable in their created nest. The bad thing about it all? Americans citizens will not reap the rewards from their actions this time. Only the lawmaker and wealthy.

This Country is like a runaway Train that just keeps going faster & getting more out of control!
Come November elections is the perfect time for all americans to let the world know whom their Parliament works for. For I think politicians have the wrong group calculated. I anticipate a big surprise for many politicians.

The media has very much got involved on allowing american society to be split on sides. I see them as the most powerful media forum available to american public. But by 2016, all will have necessary media outlets and every politician will no longer be successful to lead the blind. Old tactics will be forced retired.

You are correct. As I was conversing to Sassy. It is more of a "taught" decision and not a genetic defect as thought. Once forbidden
and now accepted. People kept is two established groups is how one leaders keep them at bay and maintain control. For things are equally debatable and half will always agree.

There is a bright side to this monsieur Belmont hill Mitt. Although a baby step it truly shows that change is acceptable. That surely will open many more closed doors for americans. Like legalized marijuana, and other self help herbs. Americans are learning that even with forced efforts to resist, all must succumb to "Mr Change." Survival is dependent on change.

I may have, considering the quality of the Men that I've seen since then, but that irrelevant. I was NOT happy & I would have gotten even more unhappy as time went on. I had Peace of mind after my divorce & that's worth alot to me! My Ex was a complicated Man & I'm a complicated Woman, in a lot of ways. Intelligent People are usually complicated. I'm not even going to try & explain it to you because it's none of your business & you wouldn't understand it, anyway. Just suffice it to say that for a lot of reasons, it probably was a mistake in the respect that my LIFE would have been alot easier, no doubt. But, my peace of mind wouldn't have been even close to being as good as it was without him. My unwillingness to give up that Peace of Mind is probably the real reason that I never remarried. I don't really know because I'd never really thought about it until I retired. I just know that I never met a Man that made me want to marry him. I still haven't met one. Dating them was fine...marrying them, wasn't. But, I was always fair about it, I told all of them early on in the relationship not to expect me to marry them because I never would, but they hung around , anyway, thinking they could change my mind, they couldn't. I didn't think my Kids would accept them into our Lives & youhave to consider that , when they are growing up because it's a package deal. They liked the Guys I dated, but they were used to better & they were my top consideration. I'm not blaming it on my Kids because I was used to better, too & I wouldn't have married them even if I hadn't had any Kids. Look, the truth of the matter is, I was fond of them, but I was NOT in love with any of them...& I have to be in love with them, to want to marry them, deeply in love!

If I told you what I would really like to see in this Country, it would start such a firestorm on this Forum, I just don't want to deal with it. But, I have posted it on here in bits & pieces, anyway, previously. But, there are a few things that I just haven't mentioned, part of it is playing right into the TEApublicans' hands, but most of it is my unhappiness with Obama. He's all we've got though, right now, & as bad as dissatisfied as I am with him, he is still much better than the alternative. But, a more calculating & tougher President could have accomplished much more than he has, IMO! He's just too nice for Cut-throat DC Politics. You have to be the toughest "Gunslinger" in Town particularly with the Bunch who are opposing him on EVERYTHING & he isn't. He's too much like Jimmy Carter, just too nice & decent & that won't get it, in DC Politics!

Lets not do that. The firestorm thingy you converse to me. If one wants to bring out animals one could surely pop a treat to other thread for hours of entertainment among them.

Bad politics is found in every nation. For with power comes greed. Always followed by corruption. It is written in human DNA code. Like physical traits.(hormonal balance) Survival "flight" "fight" good, evil, strong weak, etc. From the beginning of life, all forms have same DNA code of life. It is mandatory for survival of species. How they use their individual slice is what we call right and wrong. Mostly once again a taught trait.

5 rules in life:

1.) Challenge yourself.

2.) Make yourself a brand.

3.) Realize that happiness isn't something you "obtain".

4.) Live responsibly.

5.) Get a dog. Why this one? A dog loves you unconditionally. A dog thinks you are the greatest, coolest, smartest, most successful person in the world. Get a dog and work hard to live up to its expectations.

Within my former field of practice I have gathered much enlightenment.

Sexual orientation is commonly discussed as if it were solely a characteristic of an individual, like biological sex, gender identity, or age. This perspective is incomplete because sexual orientation is defined in terms of relationships with others.
Sexual orientation refers to an enduring pattern of emotional, romantic, and/or sexual attractions to men, women, or both sexes.

My professional understanding, the core attractions that form the basis for adult sexual orientation typically emerge between middle childhood and early adolescence.

I have learned that many younger children have suffered from a form of molestation. Others luckier than that group have learn sexuality through curiosity. Prejudice and discrimination make it difficult for many people to come to terms with their sexual orientation identities, so claiming a lesbian, gay, or bisexual identity may be a slow process.

Oh, it wasn't that radical, Puff...I just meant that the Teapublicans get so incensed if you're not very delicate in your Political Views & I would prefer more progressive policies out of Obama & and alittle "Street Fighter" mentality to get them passed & less watered-down compromises.
The Democrats in Washington, today, are like the Republicans of yesterday & the Republicans have just gone over the cliff, IMO. I'd like to see some REAL Democrats "of the People", like we used to have not that long ago.
As for getting a Dog, I've thought about it, but I would prefer a good Man. But, I don't think I'll find him here & probably not anywhere in the South. I was talking to my Son today & I said, "I think I'll just get married & let the Man take over all the responsibility & I'm just going to cruise along for the rest of my Life." My Son said, "Uh-Huh". I said, "What ...you don't believe me"? And he said, "I wasn't going to say that". I said, "Ok then, I'm just going to get married to some Man who will take me out of TN." My Son said, "Uh-huh". I said, "You don't believe that, either"? He said, "You know I've heard all of this before, don't you"? I said, "Yeah, but I mean it this time"! He said, "Uh-huh"! At that point, I just burst out laughing & I could tell he was grinning by the way he was talking. Lol!
My Daughter just says, "If you find One, see if he's got a much younger Brother or Friend"! I just tell her that if he does, I'm going to use him for my "Back-up", if anything happens to mine" & she laughs & tells me "to just be that way, she's got one of her own". Then, she laughs & I tell her, "don't rub it in" & we both laugh. Lol!
I've got good Kids that I love with all my Heart! They bring a smile to my face just thinking about them. I'm very lucky.

I gotta tell you, Puff, & I know this is just me & not everybody can do it...but if I were Gay, I would be the type who wouldn't hide it anymore than I would hide the color of my hair. I wouldn't flaunt it or shove it in anybody's face, but if asked, I'd just tell them. If they didn't like it, then move on & leave me alone. But, that's just me & I realize that, as I said at the beginning.

There seems to be a lot of Gay Posters on this Forum, maybe not on this particular Thread , but lots of them on the Pay 2 Spray Thread & I can't help but notice that not one of them has joined in this discussion to seriously discuss this issue. I find that amazing.
It's a chance for them to help some of us Straight Posters maybe understand them better, but they aren't taking advantage of it, even anonymously.
I still have so much to learn in this World & not as much time to do it in, as I once had. Lol!

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Leo

Don't be afraid to voice your opinions today, even if you suspect that they aren't what everyone is expecting to hear. It's important to speak your mind, and there's no need to worry about treading on anyone's toes or sounding outrageous because that isn't very likely at all. If you're talking to someone, your conversation may take an unconventional turn that you weren't expecting.
