I would like to make a comment regarding Christ Hospital's Pain Clinic....
I had an appointment due to chronic pain that is very delibating in my neck due to osteoprosis. My first appointment was informational and another was made for the next day to receive injections, to hopefully ease the pain. I arrived for my injections and the Dr. tried to inject the needles into my back/neck without any numbing medication. I have had these injections previously and always received either twlight sleep medication or some type of numbing injections before receiving the rest of the injections. Due to not being able to stay still while the Dr. tried to inject the medication, I was told that I needed to make another appointment to schedule twlight sleep. My question at that time was why didn't they schedule that then instead of just tring to give me the injections cold turkey. The response was they rairly give any numbing or twlight sleep medication to other patients, as they are able to lay still for the injections. Another appointment was then scheduled for a month away as that was the next only opening for me. In the meantime medication scripts were give - to no avail as they did not work. I arrived a month later for my injections. The nurse tried to place an iv into my vein on my hand and it flipped up in the air. She then had to obtain another one. She tried again holding my arm in the air instead of bracing it on a table or arm of the chair. She inserted the needle into my bone instead of the vein and I jumped and stated that it really hurt. She then got the Dr. and he also tried to insert the iv needle into my vein, while the nurse held my arm up in the air again instead of bracing it on a firm base. The Dr. was unable to insert the iv needle and stated that I had to hold still. I stated that I couldn't hold still if my had/arm moved while being held in the air. The Dr. got angry at me and took the iv needle and tubes and tossed them down stating that he was not going to do the procedure and stormed out of the room. So much for going to a so called pain clinic due to having pain and expecting patience from the staff. I have contacted the hospital and have made a complaint but wanted to let other people know that if they are thinking of going to Christ Hospital's pain clinic to rethink that option. I have never met a Dr. that was so arrogant with a very short fuse... |

Without going into detail, stay away from that hospital if you care about your loved ones or yourself.
