Oak Island is OK - I

If you are deaf and can not hear the names the staff at the ice cream shop and the local diner calls you.After visiting oak island for the past 30+ yrs, we will not be returning next yr for our annual 2 month vacation. we have rented a nice beach front house at carolina beach where the locals seem to be thrilled that people are spending their vacation money there and it is keeping them in jobs. They need to teach the staff at the businesses at oak island that if it wasnt for vistors, they wouldnt have a job.

We already booked and paid for our 3 week vacation next yr at CAROLINA BEACH where the locals are happy for our business that is keeping them in a job. OFFENDED??? Our children do not need to hear the "F" word coming out of the mouths of teenagers who work at the dairy queen. We went there 3 times and all 3 times we heard the same thing. Our group this year had 5 handicapped children . These same teen agers at the dairy queen made fun of them the last time we were there. There is no call for this and it is unacceptable! I just wonder what their parents would think if they heard them talking, using the f word all the time and making fun of these children.
we have found another area to go next year. I hate to change after coming to oak island for the past yrs but this was the worst trip we have ever taken.
